Amy Newman was born and raised in Pleasant Grove, Utah.  She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and went on to Snow College in Ephriam, Utah and received her Associates Degree in General Education.  She took time off from schooling to get married and start a family.  She graduated from Utah Valley State College in 2006 with a Bachelor in History Education.  She moved her family to Ely in August of 2006 so she could teach Social Studies at White Pine Middle School. While working at the middle school she started working on a Master’s Degree in School Counseling.  She was transferred to the High School to teach History for a brief time, but was moved back to the middle school when the position of Director of Student Services.  She earned her Master’s in School Counseling in May of 2014 from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado.  She moved to David E. Norman Elementary in January of 2015 and is currently the school counselor there.

Amy is married to Paul Newman and has 4 children: Cassie(15), Mandie(13), Chelsie(8), and Brody(4).  She enjoys spending time with her family, running, quilting, and all things Disney.

Ruth Eldridge has been a excellant school bus driver since September 21, 1998; Ruth has driven the Baker/Garrison/Eskdale schools routes her whole career. The route starts early ever school morning with a pre-trip inspection at 5 am, as the solo bus for years she has been a very safe, caring bus driver and employee.  Her bus is one of the cleanest in the fleet, even with the all the miles of dirt roads, snow ice, rain her route has to offer. Ruth continues to be a great asset to our transportation department for WPCSD.

Ruth has two children, Sarah and Molly and is married to Dave Eldridge and they operate a ranch for a living in the Baker Area.
