Report of a business alarm — The building was checked and found to be secure.

Report of property damage —  A local business owner found damage to the door frame to his business.  A report was completed.

Report of found property — A vehicle which had been reported stolen was located. The investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — A subject reportedly picked up his child from school and the child wasn’t in a car seat. Deputies were unable to locate the subject.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed a male subject would not leave the residence of a family member.  The male subject left without incident.

Report of fraud —The reporting party claimed an unknown subject had made several fraudulent transactions on his debit card in numerous other states.  A report was completed.

Report of a possible intoxicated driver  — The reporting party claimed Ely resident Heather Carrasco, 30, appeared to be under the influence when she picked up her children. Carraso was later located and arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Report of child abuse —The reporting party claimed to have witnessed an  unknown male strike his children after they got off of the school bus. The investigation continues.

Report of a reckless driver — The reporting party claimed a female subject had been driving recklessly in his neighborhood. The reporting party was allowed to sign a citizen’s complaint, which was later issued on the driver, identified as Samantha Peterson.

Report of an animal problem — A horse and bull were reportedly running at large in the roadway. Both animals were later recovered by their owner.

Report of a traffic hazard —  Reporting party stated that someone had placed a large dumpster in the roadway. The dumpster was removed.

Report of an assault — Reporting party stated that she was sleeping in her vehicle with a friend when her vehicle was rammed by another vehicle. The operator of the vehicle that rammed the reporting parties’ vehicle belonged to her husband. The reporting party then fled in their vehicle and contacted law enforcement. Investigation continues.

Report of a trespasser — reporting party stated that an individual who had been trespassed from his place of employment keeps coming back onto the property. The reporting party requested extra patrol in the area.

Report of an accident —  Andrew Hayes of Ely was operating a vehicle and was making a left hand turn onto Aultman Street. He failed to see a vehicle being operated by Colin Christensen of Ely traveling on Aultman Street. Hayes vehicle collided into Christensen’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed and Hayes was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Report of a welfare check —  Officer received a report of an individual who was slumped over in a vehicle. Officer contacted the individuals in the vehicle and reported that Khristopher Nicholson, 18, of Ely, was arrested for possession of marijuana and use of a controlled substance. A female juvenile was also located in the vehicle and she was detained and later released to her parents.

Report of a disturbance —  Officer received a report of two people involved in a verbal argument at a local business. The individuals involved were contacted and they were arguing over finances. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a trespasser — Officer received a report of an individual who had returned to an apartment where he had been trespassed from. The individual was located inside the apartment and he was identified as Dillon Lewis, 24, of Ely. Lewis was arrested for trespassing. Officers reported that a female that was hiding in a closet was located and identified as Kirsten L. Hurlburt, 26, of Ely. Hurlburt was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a trespasser — Reporting party stated that a family member keeps coming to his home and he wants her trespassed. When officers arrived the individual had left the area.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual came to his home and was outside yelling profanities at him. The reporting party wanted the incident documented. A report was completed.

Report of suspicious circumstances —Reporting party stated he believes someone had entered into his home while he was away. The incident was documented.

Report of a possible drunk driver — Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and reported that he was not intoxicated. The occupants of the vehicle had stopped to gain rest before continuing on their travels.

Report of a dog bite — A child reportedly reached over a fence to pet a dog, which was fenced in, when the dog bit him. The dog was later quarantined by Animal Control.

Report of a custody issue — A female claimed her ex-boyfriend had kidnapped their child in common. It was later learned the father had paperwork awarding him custody of the child.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed to have seen a man and a child loitering around some abandoned buildings in a rural area.  The information was passed onto BLM Law Enforcement.

Report of drugs — The reporting party, an agent of a local motel, discovered drug paraphernalia in a recently vacated room. The paraphernalia was destroyed.

Report of a problem with a subject — A male subject was allegedly attempting to retrieve his child from school but was being denied. It was later learned he was not an approved visitor, and he left without incident.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party received her child from her ex-husband and later discovered bruising on the child.  A report was completed.

Report of a custody problem — the reporting party complained that his ex-girlfriend wouldn’t let him talk to their son.  A report was completed.

Report of a domestic battery — Officer received a report of a domestic battery that was taking place at a residence in Ruth. When officers contacted one of the individuals involved, they observed that she had been battered. Officer reported that the person accused of committing the battery had fled the area. He was later located and identified as Mark Anthony Aguilar, 24, of Ruth. He was arrested for burglary and domestic battery with strangulation. He is accused of forcing his way into a residence and battering his girlfriend.

Report of a private property accident  — Ann Zurbriggens of Clarkston, Mich. was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a parked vehicle behind her belonging to the state of Nevada. Zurbriggens vehicle struck the state’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

Report of a  theft — reporting party stated that he never received a package that was delivered by USPS. The tracking number he received for the package indicated that it had been delivered. Investigation continues.

Report of a illegally parked vehicles — Officer located the vehicles and reported that they were tagged for removal.

Report of an ATV disturbance —Officer patrolled the area, but the ATV was not located.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juveniles climbing on the roof of a building. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that someone had opened several credit card accounts in his name. The reporting party had cancelled the cards but needed a police report for the incident. A report was completed.

Report of a business license violation — Officer received a report of an individual selling items in the city without a license. Officer contacted the person and advised them to obtain the proper licensing.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that he observed several individuals removing scrap iron that belonged to him. Investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was standing near several vehicles using his phone. No problems were reported.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the individual who was sleeping on a park bench. The individual apologized and continued on his way home.

Report of a welfare check — Officer attempted to contact the person, but no one was home.

Report of an animal call — Officer received a report of a fox being caught in a trap. The report was given to the Division of Wildlife.

Report of a death— Officer reported that William W. Rosevear, 82, of Lund, died at his residence of natural causes.

Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that he observed an individual hiding in a bathroom at a local rest stop. The individual was contacted and no problems were reported.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. During the officers investigation Rebecca A. Klippert, 44, of Ruth, was arrested. Klippert was arrested for domestic battery third offense, intimidating a police officer, and battery on a peace officer. She is accused of battering her boyfriend, threatening a peace officer and battering a police officer.

Report of a juvenile problem —  Reporting party stated that several juveniles were throwing rocks at his vehicle. Officer contacted several juveniles in the area who denied the allegation.

Report of a suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that she could hear noises outside her home. The area was patrolled, but nothing was located.

Report of a citizen assist — Officer contacted an individual who was having suicidal thoughts. The individual was taken to the E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of a theft —  Officer received a report of a theft that had taken place. The reporting party gave a description of the suspects involved. Officer located the individuals and during his investigation arrested Antonio A Frazier, 41, of Venice Beach, Calif., and James A. Robison, 32 of Ely. Both individuals were arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Investigation into the theft continues.

Report of a suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that a light was on inside her vehicle. The vehicle and area was checked and no problems were located.

Report of a found bicycle —The bicycle was placed into lost and found.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had damaged his son’s vehicle by hitting the windshield with a piece of a tree. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual had driven by one of his children and as he did so, revved up the engine.  The individual was contacted who advised the motor on the vehicle was running poorly and he was trying to keep it running.

Report of a dog problem — Reporting party stated that two dogs running at large entered into his yard and attacked his dog. Officer patrolled the area, but the dogs at large were not located.

Report of a parking problem —  Officer contacted the individual who had his vehicle partially blocking the roadway. He was advised to move it.

Report of a barking dog — Reporting party stated that a dog constantly barks in his neighborhood. The reporting party will contact law enforcement when the dog is barking.

Report of an open door — Officer received a report of an open door on a closed business. The business was checked and the door secured.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that he had parked his vehicle at his work place parking lot. When he returned to his vehicle, someone had struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene.  A report was completed.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. The parties separated for the night and were advised to keep the peace.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop, Nathan P. Alves, 39, of Roseville, Calif., was arrested. Alves was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, transporting a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic device, driving suspended, no insurance, and operating a vehicle with an obstructed view. Two passengers in the vehicle were identified as Adam M. Gilson, 33, of Roseville, Calif., and Anna Hutchison, 20, of McGill. Gilson was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of a hypodermic device, and possession of methamphetamine. Hutchison was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of a hypodermic device, and possession of methamphetamine.

Report of a found bike —  The bike was collected and placed into lost and found.

Report of animal cruelty — Reporting party stated that a horse was not properly being cared for. The report was given to the Ely Brand Inspector.

Report of a stolen vehicle — Reporting party stated that a family member had taken their vehicle without permission. The family member was contacted and the vehicle was returned.

Report of a possible propane leak — Officer reported that the propane tank had ran out of gas, but no odor was present.
