Gaughan Gaming has hired gaming veteran, Drew Skeen who will serve as general manager of the historic Hotel Nevada & Gambling Hall, located in Ely at 501 Aultman Street; and all other Gaughan Gaming assets in White Pine County including the 67-room hotel-casino along with the adjacent Postal Palace events center, Liberty Bar and several other smaller motels in the area.
Skeen spent the past four years in Lovelock, Nev. where he managed the Sturgeons Inn & Casino. While in Lovelock, he served as chairman of the Pershing County Tourism Board and was largely responsible for the county’s annual negotiations with Burning Man organizers regarding fees and permitting conditions for the annual Burning Man festival that takes place in the Black Rock Desert near Lovelock each summer.
In June 2013, Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval appointed Skeen to serve on the state board of Registered Environmental Health Specialists. He began his career in gaming with the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas and has served in numerous roles that range from game development with Konami Gaming to executive positions with MGM Resorts International among others.

The six-story Hotel Nevada and Gambling Hall was built in 1929 and features 67 rooms. Currently the property has 24-hour service for casino gaming and restaurant operations including table games and poker. The casino floor also hosts Megabucks® and Wheel of Fortune® slots among others.
The property also has truck and RV parking and convention facilities. Hotel Nevada is AAA accredited and is one of the storied hallmarks and travel destinations in Central Nevada. The Hotel Nevada and its holdings are managed by John Gaughan in partnership with Paul Kellogg and the Kellogg family.
