August 8

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Christopher Nilo, 38, of McGill, was arrested on a Fallon, Nev. Justice Court warrant.

Report of an accident — Officer reported while patrolling the Ely area he located a telephone pole that had been struck by a vehicle, causing extensive damage to the pole. The striking vehicle had fled the scene. During the officer’s investigation, the vehicle and operator were located. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Chazz N. Gregersen, 25, of Ely. Gregersen was arrested for hit and run unattended property, failure to report accident and D.U.I.

Report of a possible burglary — Officer received a report of an individual who was breaking into a home. Officer contacted the individual who had been locked out of her home and was attempting to gain access.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved agreed to separate for the day.

Report of a hit and run accident —Reporting party stated that someone had struck a fence and trailer with a vehicle and then fled the scene. A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her boyfriend was causing a disturbance at their home. When officers arrived the boyfriend and left the area.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a renter of a room had stolen some items when they checked out. Investigation continues.

Report of property damage — Officer received a report of a window on a vehicle that had been broken. Officer contacted a witness to the incident who informed him that the window broke on its own. A report was completed.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of siblings constantly fighting with each other. The siblings were contacted and advised to stop fighting.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer received a report of a semi-truck that had struck a power line causing damage to the line and power boxes. The semi-truck driver was located and returned to the scene to obtain information on the accident.

Report of a private property accident — Shasta Drake of Ely reported that her vehicle was parked at a local store. George Panagopoulos of Ely was operating a vehicle passing by Drake’s vehicle. As he did so he struck the side of Drake’s vehicle. An accident report was completed.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juveniles hanging around county buildings. The juveniles were contacted and advised to leave the area.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her boyfriend was causing a disturbance at their home. The parties involved were contacted and were separating their property. The property was separated and the boyfriend left the area.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an indidvual had shot some type of gun towards her children. Investigation continues.

Report of a loud noise — Reporting party stated that she heard a loud banging noise in her yard. The area was patrolled, but nothing was located.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juveniles who had climbed onto a local school roof causing damage to some of the property. The juveniles were contacted along with their guardians. Investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The vehicle and occupants were contacted and no problems were reported.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a female that had been battered by her boyfriend. During the officers investigation, Cesar Jimenez, 20, of Ely, was arrested. Jimenez was arrested for domestic battery and child endangerment.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that due to a lot of human traffic visiting a person at a local casino, he felt that there was possible drug activity taking place. Investigation continues.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic disturbance that was taking place. During the officers investigation Cesar Zamora, 21, of Ely, was arrested. Zamora was arrested for domestic battery and assault with a deadly weapon. He is accused of battering his roommate and threatening him with a knife.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual had obtained gas at a local gas station, but was unable to pay for the fuel. The parties involved worked out the situation on how to pay for the fuel.

Report of a found phone — The phone was placed into lost and found.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over child care. The parties involved separated for the night.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of a juvenile who was causing a disturbance at a local business. The juvenile and his parent were contacted and advised of the problem.

Report of a suspicious subject — The individual was contacted who was walking home. No problems were reported.

Report of found property — The owner of the property was located and returned.

Report of suspicious circumstances —  A clerk of a convenience store could not be located. It was later learned they were using the restroom.

Report of an arrest —  Derek Goff, 29, of Ely, was arrested for a probation violation.

Report of a private property accident —  Claudia Christensen was in a parking lot and backed into a parked vehicle.

Report of a juvenile problem — The reporting party claimed her daughter ran away. The daughter was later located and returned to her mother.

Report of a dog bite — The reporting party claimed to have been bitten by a dog at a local camp ground. The camp ground was checked, but the dog and owner were gone.

Report of a welfare check — The subjects were gone when officers arrived.

Report of an arrest —  Bobbye Carlson, 20, of Ely, was arrested for a Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a barking dog — No dogs were heard barking in the area.

Report of a welfare check — The subjects were located and appeared to be okay.

Report of a theft — The reporting party believed a neighbor stole her pets. The neighbor was contacted and denied stealing anything.

Report of an arrest —  While serving an arrest warrant on Britney Lewis, 27, of Ely, she was discovered to be in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Also present in the house were young children, who were within reach of the controlled substances. Lewis was later arrested and the children were removed from the residence.

Report of a juvenile problem — Several juveniles were reportedly loitering near a vacant building. No crime was found.

Report of a reckless driver — The suspect vehicle was located parked and unoccupied.

Report of a welfare check — The subject was located and claimed to be fine.

Report of a domestic disturbance  — It was discovered to be children being loud.

Report of a problem with a subject —The reporting party believed someone killed her cat. The deputy was unable to locate the cat and spoke to several people who all denied knowledge of the cat being killed.

Report of a protection order violation — The reporting party has a valid protection order against her ex-husband, who lives out of state, and he violated the order by calling her and leaving a voice mail. A report was forwarded to the agency that has jurisdiction where the suspect lives.

Report of an alarm — The alarm was false.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed there was a lot of traffic coming from a certain motel room. The room and occupants were checked and everything appeared to be fine.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

Report of a juvenile problem — A male juvenile reportedly battered two other subjects. A report was completed and will be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a dog at large — The dog was located and impounded.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party was upset about a Facebook post.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed a large group of people were loitering near an abandoned building. The people were located and were just walking.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party complained about subjects trespassing. The subjects were gone when officers arrived.

Report of suspicious subjects — The subjects were located and appeared to be working on a vehicle.

Report of a theft — Jeffrey Brian Colville, 28, was arrested after stealing property from a store.

Report of a domestic disturbance  —Officers spoke to the parties involved, and later arrested Rebecca Kelly, 35, of Ruth, for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Report of an ATV disturbance — The area was checked, but no ATVs were located.

Report of a theft — The reporting party said his girlfriend moved out and stole some of his property. It was later discovered the property was purchased by both of them. The issue was deemed civil.

Report of a dog bite — The reporting party claimed to have been bitten by her own dog. A report was completed.

Report of a disturbance — The occupant of the running semi was contacted and agreed to turn the vehicle off.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party heard screaming behind his home. The area was checked and several subjects were located walking down the alley talking.

Report of found property — he property was located near a local hotel and placed into lost and found.

Report of a domestic disturbance  — the parties were contacted and were found to only be arguing. Both parties separated for the day.

Report of an alarm — The residence was found to have an open door. The interior was checked and everything appeared to be intact.

Report of a welfare check — The subject could not be located.

Report of a dog problem — The reporting party claimed a neighbor’s dog was running at large and growled at her. She was allowed to sign a citizen’s complaint.

Report of a welfare check — The subject was located and appeared fine.

Report of vandalism — The reporting party claimed someone did damage to her vehicle.  A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject — Three subjects were allegedly tampering with a motor vehicle. The subjects were gone when officers arrived and the vehicle was not damaged.

Report of a stolen vehicle — The vehicle wasn’t stolen, it was repossessed by the lien holder.
