White Pine Players Drama Club is preparing the first production of the school year on WPHS stage.  Kole Saxton and Hannah Barber play the lead roles of Boy and Molly in Peter and the Starcatcher, with 14 other high school actors and six technical crew.

Cast and crew have been preparing over the summer and are gearing up for the last few weeks of rehearsal. Crews are working on the set and costumes, while actors prepare the play for the audience.

The story comes from the book by Dave Barry and Rick Elise, telling about how Peter Pan came to be, as well as other characters in the familiar story.  But this is not the story you’ve heard before.  Be prepared for a strange but delightful retelling.

Performances are on Sept. 23, 24, 26, 30, and Oct. 1 at 7 pm., with additional performances at 1 p.m. on Sept. 24 and Oct. 1.

All reserved tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Economy Drug. General tickets can be purchased from cast and crew or at the door and will be $8 for adults, $6 for students and seniors and $5 for children.
