Elizabeth “Betty” Echegaray, passed away on October 10, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after losing her battle with liver disease. She was 60 years old. Betty was born February 20, 1956 in Ely, Nevada to Tyler and Mathilda Leibhardt.
Betty was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, enjoyed reading and loved cats.
Betty was a kind, caring woman who would do anything for anyone, but above all, she adored her children and grandchildren. They brought her much joy.
Betty is survived by her children Karina Marich (George) of Ruth, NV, Harold Robertson Jr. ( Heather) of Ely, NV, Jaden Robertson of Ely, NV, Timothy Robertson (Salene) of Ely, NV, Barbara (Beau) Roberts of Riverton, UT, Joseph Echegaray of Elko, NV and Wade Wilkinson (Marisa) of Reno, NV; sixteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings Denyce Ward, Jamie Leibhardt (Linda), Jacqueline Leibhardt (John) and adopted brother Derek Niegemann; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Sassy.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, adopted mother Inez Niegemann and the love of her life David Wilkinson.
The Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Ely City Cemetery.
A special thank you is extended to Kayden Robertson, Betty’s grandson, who took care of her and stayed by her side until the end.
I love u aunt Betty I will never forget your sweetness and the love u had for me that love was surely returned u were and always will be be a light in my life I will miss u and there was so much I wanted to say to u before we lost u but I hope u know that no matter what I thought of u always I hope that some day we see each other again until then I will always hold u dear to my heart I love u aunt Betty RIP
