The Nevada Small Business Development Center and the White Pine Chamber of Commerce are helping small businesses grow their presence online with “Let’s Put Ely on the Map: Help Holiday Shoppers Find Your Business” workshop. The workshop will be hosted on October 26 at the White Pine Chamber of Commerce from 9:45 am to 11:15 am.
Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map brings community members, business owners, and civic leaders together to help small businesses succeed on the web.
“Four out of five consumers use search engines to find local information nearby, yet only 37% of businesses have claimed their listing on a search engine,” says Emily Harris, Manager of Google’s Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map program. “We want to help businesses get ready for the holiday shopping season because 78% of shoppers use the internet for holiday research.”
Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map is a program that empowers communities to support their local businesses and encourages them to get on the map. Local businesses keep our communities strong; when we help them succeed on the web, they make our communities even stronger. The Help Holiday Shoppers Find Your Business workshop is a Google presentation hosted by the Nevada Small Business Development Center and the White Pine Chamber of Commerce.
