White Pine County Library announces the addition of the  one AfterSchool Edge™ (6-14 Year Olds) & two Early Literacy Stations (2-8 years of age), a complete educational solution loaded with 50 educational software titles for young learners (ages 2–14 years of age). These programs offer children a safe, standalone computer not connected to the Internet that is age-appropriate, engaging, and academically relevant for children.

The AfterSchool Edge’s & Early Literacy Stations educational software covers seven curricular areas: reading, math, science, social studies, writing, arts and music, and reference.

AWE’s AfterSchool™ educational software titles include: Animation-ish Dora’s World Adventure Math Doodles Math for the Real World Space and the Universe Stationary Studio Volcanic Panic World of Goo AWE’s Early Literacy Station educational software titles include: La Cada de Dora Giggles Kids My Musical World/ABC’s and 123’s Kid Pix 3D Know Your USA Sesame Street Speakaboos interactive storybooks World of Goo. These programs functions without connection to the Internet, so safety and privacy issues are no concern. They are available on pre-loaded on desktop computers located at the White Pine County Library.“These programs provide maximum technology with minimal management. Kids intuitively know how to make it work, and administrators have the same experience. Technology – in this product – is not an obstacle.

White Pine County Library also offers Story Hour for children ages 2 to 10 years of age, we also offer a 11 and Up Club who work with LEGO’s every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays and Craft days, BBQ’s, and other fun activities on remaining Tuesdays.
