Javy Johnny passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016. He was born on January 7, 1966 in Elko, Nevada to Blaine Johnny and Alberta Whiterock. Javy loved to fish, play softball, a good BBQ, rock concerts, pinenut picking, fighting fires, hiking, making people laugh and being with family. Javy would help anyone if he could.
Javy attended school in Ely, Elko, Owyhee and graduated in Elko in 1984. He went to college at Great Basin College for small gas engines.
He is survived by his sisters; Kathy (Whiterock) Johnson of Ely, Eleanor and Florentino Duran of Elko. His sons; Talyon Johnny of Carlin, Cole Johnny of Boise, Idaho and his daughter; Tiana Nye of Elko; his nephews, Jason Johnson of Ely, John Johnson of Ely, William Duran of Elko, Travis Duran of Elko, his nieces, JaNae Johnson of Elko, Alicia Duran of Elko, his great nephews Jaeden Duran of Elko and Dominic Johnson of Ely; his aunts, Roseline Satala of Owyhee, LaVerne Valaquez, Florence Johnny, Barbara Johnny of Elko, Kay Chavez of Reno and numerous cousins.
Javy was preceded in death by both his parents, Blaine Johnny, Alberta Whiterock, brother Norris (Buck) Johnny, and numerous uncles.
Services will be conducted Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Elko Colony gym. Burial will follow at the Elko Cemetery. Feed will follow at the Elko Colony gym.
