OCTOBER 17

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and reported that no problems were located.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of a juvenile who was refusing to go to school. The juvenile was escorted to school.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that an individual was rummaging through and taking donations dropped off for a local thrift store. Officers are attempting to locate the individual.

REPORT OF A WELFRAE CHECK: Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was fine.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: City — false alarm.

REPORT OF A VEHICLE ACCIEDNT: Officer received a report of a vehicle accident located on US 93 South near mile marker 17. Officer reported that the operator of the vehicle was identified as Solmayra Flores age 23 of McGill. Flores died at the scene of the accident, due to injures she had sustained. The accident is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol.

REPORT OF FOUND DRUG PARPAHERNAILA: City — reporting party stated that an item of drug paraphernalia was located at his place of business. The item was collected and destroyed.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM: The report was given to Ely Animal Control.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and advised her of the complaint. The operator of the vehicle indicated she didn’t realized she had caused any problems. A warning was issued to her.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officer contacted the mother and child and reported that they were fine.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: City — false alarm.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Reporting party stated that he was involved in a single vehicle accident but couldn’t remember when or where it had occurred. Officer documented the damage to his vehicle.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Jonathan S. Cracraft age 37 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that the neighbor’s children were teasing her dog. The mother of the children were contacted and advised of the compliant.

REPORT OF DOGS AT LARGE: Officer reported that the owner of the dogs was not at home. Contact with the owner will be made at a later date.

REPORT OF A BURGALRY: City — officer received a report of several juveniles who had entered into a fenced area possibly stealing things. Officer located the juveniles who had taken several items out of several vehicles in the fenced area. The juveniles were detained and later released to family members. A report will be sent to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF AN ATV PROBLEM: Reporting party stated that an ATV was trespassing on private property and speeding in the area. The area was patrolled, but the ATV was not located.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE BURGLARY: City — reporting party stated that she had located an individual inside her garage. The individual fled the area when she observed him in the garage. Officers patrolled the area, but the person was not located.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: City – the residence was checked and appeared to be undisturbed.

REPORT OF A BAD CHECK: City – the reporting party claimed to have received several checks from various people for services rendered, and the checks were returned from the bank as non-sufficient.  A report was completed and submitted to the City Attorney for prosecution.

REPORT OF A NON-INJURY ACCIDENT: City – 21 year old Vermon Medler, of Reno, stopped in the travel lane when he was struck from behind by 86 year old McGill resident Donald Gregerson. Vermon was issued a citation for stopping/standing in the roadway, driving with a revoked license, and no proof of insurance.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF FRAUD: The reporting party claimed an unknown person fraudulently made charges to one of her credit cards.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A VEHICLE FIRE: A vehicle was found in a rural area and was fully engulfed in fire, along with surrounding the brush.  The fire was extinguished and a body was located nearby.  The deceased was transported to the Clark county Medical Examiner’s Office and the investigation continues.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that he was giving a friend a ride home due to she was intoxicated. The reporting party stated that his friend jumped from the vehicle while it was moving and ran down an alleyway. Officer patrolled the area, but the friend was not located. REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECTCity — reporting party stated that an individual was causing a disturbance at her place of employment. Officer contacted the individual and identified her as Aymee S. Felix-Quispe age 19 of Ely. As she did so she reached to retrieve a soda that was spilling and she allowed her vehicle to drift off the roadway striking several mail boxes. The order had been issued out of Utah where the reporting party was residing.
