The Great Basin Service Club announced today that there are just a few booth spaces left for the Christmas Crafters Festival set for December 3rd in the Convention Center.

Local crafters had priority in securing a booth up until November 10th.  The last few booths are on a first come basis and are open to local crafters and those crafters from out of the area. All items must be handcrafted and any food items must meet the Department of Health’s guidelines.

Booth space is $30 and an application can be secured by calling Bunny Hill, Crafters Chairman at 296-0439.  Many of your favorite local crafters will be participating along with some new crafters.

The Convention Center will open to the public at 10 am. As in years past the Convention Center will be breathtaking with all the decorations, in addition to all the hand-crafted items for sale. During the Crafters Festival, the jolly rotund jovial fellow dressed in red (Santa) will be available for children to visit with.

This year our photographer worked previously for Bell Photography in Salt Lake City.  She will be offering picture packages of 2-5×7,4-4×6 and 16 wallets for $20 or individual sheets of differing sizes for $5 each.

On display will be samples of her work. The Crafters Festival will close at 4 p.m. to allow everyone the opportunity to attend the parade which starts at 6 p.m. The parade route is from Broadbent Park to the County Park.

Our theme this year is “Christmas Around the World”. To pre-register please call 289-2111.  Leave a message and you will be called back.  You can also pre-register and pick up your parade numbers during the Crafters Festival until 3 pm.  There will be no parade registrations after 3 pm, however if you have pre-registered and were not able to pick up your number prior to 3 pm your number will be at the start of the parade for you.

Starting on Friday, November 25th the Convention Center will be showcasing all the beautiful trees on display for the “Festival of Trees”.

The trees will be auctioned one week later on Friday, December 2nd starting at 6 pm.

Once again ReVoice will be amazing the audience with their vocal magic.  If you missed them the last time they performed here, you missed a great event.

Tickets can be purchased from the Convention Center or at the door with the proceeds of the auction being used by the Great Basin Service Club for continual upkeep of existing decorations and the purchase of new decorations for the community.

The Great Basin Service Club wants to thank everyone for helping make our community so festive.  We hope everyone will come out to these Christmas events and help celebrate the holiday season with friends, neighbors and their family.
