By The White Pine Museum
During the month of October, board members and volunteers have
worked many hours transforming the White Pine Public Museum and we know that this could have not been accomplished if it was not for the generous grants and donations received from the White Pine Tourism and Recreation Board, Kinross Bald Mountain and KGHM – Robinson Nevada Mining Company.
With these monies, the museum has been able to installed new carpet throughout; repair the roof
of the Cave Bear room; re-tape and paint the Cave Bear room; move and restock the gift shop and create new and exciting exhibits throughout.
Thanks goes to these business and organizations: White Pine County Tourism and Recreation Board; KGHM Robinson Mine; Kinross Bald Mountain; C & C Carpet Center; Nevada Department of Forestry – Conservation Camp; Bureau of Land Management – Firefighters; R & R Roofing and John Kramm.
In addition, thanks go out to the following individuals: Carol Beager, Sally Locke, Joyce Christensen, Melody Van Camp, Janet Van Camp, Janann Herbst, Bill Wilson, Howard Bohrn, Laura Rainey, Minnis Alderman, Taylor Chambers of NDF, Jacki Hansen with White Pine County Tourism and Recreation Board, Angela Martin of KGHM Robinson Mine, Ranay Guifarro of Kinross Bald Mountain, Kevin Robinson with C & C Carpet Center and Kasie Gaarsland Robinson with C & C Carpet Center.
We encourage you to stop by and take a look at the changes. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00 pm starting now through December 31, 2016.
