The White Pine County Sheriff’s Office have provided the following information:
On November 17, 2016 the White Pine County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a business located in Ely that had been broken into. The individual had forced their way into the business. Officer reported that several items had been disturbed, but nothing was missing.
Officers received several other calls on the 17th and several more on the 18th and 19th referencing businesses that had been broken into. Officers reported that a total of seven business including one church had been burglarized.
Officers reported that someone had forced their way into the business causing damage to doorways and windows.
In several of the businesses money and other items were stolen. In other businesses property damage was noted.
The Sheriff’s Office is reminding all business owners to remove all monies from their business every night, make sure all doors and windows are secured and alarms are set and activated.

A $1,300 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for the burglaries last week.
