REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE: City — the dog was captured and taken to the Animal Control Facility

REPORT OF A FRAUD: Reporting party stated that he was selling some items on the internet and received a check from an individual to purchase the items. The reporting party advised that the check was fraudulent. The check had been issued out of the state of FL. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF LOST PROPERTY: Reporting party stated that he had accidently dropped his medication into the toilet and need a police report to obtain a new prescription. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that someone had gained access to his debit card and had made several unauthorized purchase. The purchases had taken place in CA. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF HARASSMENT: City — reporting party stated that an individual is following her around town in a vehicle. The reporting party was advised to apply for a harassment order through the courts.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officer checked the residence and reported that no one was home.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: City — officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and reported that no problems were located

REPORT OF A BATTERY: Reporting party stated that while he and some friends were out for a walk they were confronted by two individuals. One of the individuals accused the reporting party of stealing things. The reporting party stated that he was then battered by the two individuals. The reporting party was allowed to sign a citizen’s complaint for battery against one of the individuals involved.

REPORT OF AN ATL ON A RUNAWAY: City — officer received information on a juvenile runaway out of Washoe County who might be in the Ely area. The area was checked, but she was not located.

REPORT OF AN UNCLEAN RESIDENCE: City — officer received a report of a home that had dog feces scattered throughout the living areas. Officer attempted to make contact with the occupants, but no one was home.

REPORT OF A FALLEN TREE: City — officer reported that a large tree had fallen in a yard. The owner of the home was not at home. He was contacted and advised of the problem.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City — Anthony Apodaca-Buckner of Ely was operating a vehicle exiting a private driveway. He stated that a vehicle being operated by Heidi Mike of Duckwater pulled into his path causing his vehicle to strike hers. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: Reporting party stated that a visiting family member was being disrespectful to her and other family members and wanted him removed. The individual was contacted and the situation was resolved.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Officer received a report of a vehicle accident on a county roadway. Officer reported that the operator of the vehicle had rolled his truck several times. The operator of the vehicle had fled the scene. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Kevin G. Roberts age 55 of Ely was arrested for driving revoked, DUI #2 and no insurance.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that during a traffic stop Drisana M. Rabe age 28 of St. Paul MN was arrested for possession of marijuana, transporting a controlled substance, basic speed and possession of drug paraphernalia.

REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE: City — the report was given to Ely Animal Control.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — Kenneth Holthus of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Aultman Street. He failed to yield to a stopped vehicle at the intersection of Aultman and 11th street. Holthus vehicle struck a vehicle being operated by Ferron Konakis of Ely whose vehicle then collided into a vehicle being operated by Joyce Bell of Ely. Holthus was issued a citation for following too close and an accident report was completed.
