Even though her reign is coming to an end this month, local White Pine High School student Catherine Odgers can still be found representing the great state of Nevada as the 2016-2017 Miss Nevada High School Rodeo Queen.

Catherine traveled to St George, Utah on Thursday to judge the St George Lions Dixie Round-Up Queen and Princess contest. On Friday she was back in her home state participating in the Lincoln High School Rodeo where she placed 4th in the rifle shoot, 10th in Poles and 15th in breakaway. Then on Saturday, Catherine traveled to Las Vegas to attended the 60th Anniversary of the Miss Rodeo Nevada Organization and to see the crowning of the new 2017 queen, Kaity Bishop McBride.

She also attended the UNLV – West Coast College Rodeo Finals at the South Point Hotel and Casino where she helped fundraised for the UNLV rodeo team.

She states that It has been an amazing two years and she wants to thank the local community for all of their support.
