REPORT OF AN ALARM: City — false alarm.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — reporting party stated that his vehicle was parked at a local parking lot and an unknown vehicle had backed into it causing damage. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF HARASSMENT: City — reporting party stated that an individual was following him around town trying to make contact with him. The reporting party wanted the incident documented. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that she had been evicted from her apartment over a month ago. She stated that she went to retrieve her property, but management had removed it. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City — officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a fight over money that was owed to one of the individuals involved. The parties agreed to separate for the day.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: The area was patrolled, but the person was not located.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that an indidvual was causing a disturbance at a local restaurant. The person was contacted and advised to leave.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that he made contact with a person on Face Book and now they are requesting money from him. He was advised to discontinue any contact with the person.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — the individual was contacted and she was fine.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: Officer received a report of a person who was trespassing on another person’s property. Officer reported that the person involved had permission to be on the property.

REPORT OF PROPERTY DAMAGE: Reporting party stated that someone had kicked the door in to his garage. Nothing had been taken, but the door had been damaged. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF VANDALISM: City — reporting party stated that someone had spray painted a trash can. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City— reporting party stated that he had received several threats from a person over social media. The parties involved were contacted and advised to stay away from each other.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Steven J. Ansolobehere age 65 of Ely was arrested for failure to obey one way traffic signal, hit and run property damage, obstructing a police officer and DUI.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and reported that the vehicle had slid off the roadway. The operator of the vehicle was able to get the vehicle back onto the road and no damage was reported.

REPORT OF A BARKING DOG: City — the area was patrolled, but the barking dog was not located.

REPORT OF COWS ON THE ROADWAY: The owner of the cows was contacted and notified of the problem.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Daniel O Marshek age 34 of McGill was arrested for failure to yield to a pedestrian, no insurance, suspended registration and DUI.

REPORT OF A FRAUD: City — officer received a report of an indidvual who was altering documents then submitting them to Ely Municipal Court. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: City — officer patrolled the area, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that she had gone to a local business to purchase an item, but then decided not to buy it. The reporting party stated that the sales person at the store now calls her and is harassing her about buying the item. The sales person was contacted who explained why he was calling the reporting party. The situation was resolved.

REPORT OF A DOG BITE: Reporting party stated that several days ago he was bitten by a dog running at large. The owner of the dog was contacted and advised of the dog bite. The owner agreed to pay for medical bills that the reporting party had accumulated due to the bite.

REPORT OF A VIOLATION OF A COURT ORDER: City — officer received a report of a violation of a protective order. The person violating the order had left the area. Officers are attempting to locate him.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Dylan M. Simon age 20 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved agreed to separate for the day.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that an individual was causing a disturbance at her place of employment. Officer contacted the person and advised him to leave the area.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted one of the parties’ involved who stated that he been involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. The girlfriend had left the area before officers arrived. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that an indidvual was removing items from his home and throwing them away. Officer observed the items and reported that it was trash that was being thrown away and no property of the reporting party was located.

REPORT OF A DOG BITE: City — reporting party stated that he had been bitten by a dog. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: City — false alarm.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — officer received a report of a vehicle accident that had occurred on Campton Street. Officer made contact with the individuals involved who advised that no damage had been done to either vehicle. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. During the officers investigation Amber Boots age 34 of Ely was arrested. Boots was arrested for domestic battery, child abuse, and spousal battery with a deadly weapon. She is accused of striking her husband with a vehicle and while doing so had a child present in the vehicle.

REPORT OF PROPERTY DAMAGE: Reporting party stated that someone had placed graffiti on the side of a building. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted the party involved who stated that she had been battered by her boyfriend. Officer reported that the incident had occurred in California. During the officers investigation the vehicle that the individual was operating had been reported stolen by the boyfriend. The vehicle was seized and held for the State of California and a report will be forwarded to the proper jurisdiction.

REPORT OF A MEDICAL CALL: Officer received a report of an indidvual lying face down on a rural roadway. The indidvual was contacted who needed medical assistance. An ambulance was requested.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The individual was contacted and he stated that he was fine.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — Erica Manning of McGill was operating a vehicle and was parallel parking. As she did so she struck a parked vehicle belonging to Gerald Hassell . An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A MISSING PERSON: Reporting party stated that a family member might have gone hiking several days ago and he hasn’t returned yet. Officers searched the area and the person was not located. Investigation into he incident continues.

REPORT OF PROPERTY DAMAGE: City — reporting party stated that someone had cut the tires on his vehicle. Officers have identified a suspect and are attempting to locate him.

REPORT OF PROPERTY DAMAGE: City — reporting party stated that a shopping cart had rolled into his vehicle causing damage. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that her daughter is being bullied at school by other students. The reporting party stated that today her daughter had been pushed down causing her to be injured. The incident was documented and officers will contact school officials to discuss the incident.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City — officer received a report of a person who was knocking on doors asking strange questions. The person was contacted who stated that he was looking for his girlfriend’s home.  He was advised to leave the area.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer received a report of an indidvual who was loitering around a school building. Officer identified the suspect as Terry Roden age 47 of Yuma, AZ. Roden was arrested for loitering on school property.

REPORT OF A SUICIDAL SUBJECT: City— officer received a report of an indidvual who was threatening to harm herself. Officer attempted to contact the person, but she fled the home. Officer reported that the person later returned home and family members were present to deal with the situation. They requested no further law enforcement contact.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – a customer was allegedly complaining about services acquired at a local motel.  The customer was gone when officers arrived.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:The vehicle was located and checked okay.

REPORT OF A BARKING DOG: When officers arrived, the owner had already stopped the dog from barking.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: The reporting party claimed an unknown subject broke into and stole items from a storage shed he was renting.  The investigation continues.

MAY 26  

REPORT OF A MOTORIST ASSIST: The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officers attempted to located the person, but were unsuccessful

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT / PRIVATE PROPERTY: City — Melvin Bahls of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up so another vehicle could pass by. As he did so he failed to see a vehicle behind him being operated by Pat Robison of Ely. Bahls vehicle struck Robison’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A HIT AND RUN ACCIDENTCity — reporting party stated that he had his vehicle parked in a local parking lot when it was struck by another vehicle. The striking vehicle fled the scene. A report was completed.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — Maurine Fisher of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a parked vehicle behind her belonging to Melany Johnson of Ely. Fisher’s vehicle struck Johnson’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed and Fisher was issued a citation for unsafe backing.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: City — officer received a report of an individual who was trespassing at a local apartment complex. The individual was contacted and identified as Luke L. Thompson age 40 of Ely. Thompson was arrested for trespassing.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted the parties involved and during their investigation arrested Sonja N. Henderson age 28 of Ely. Henderson was arrested for domestic battery. She is accused of battering a person whom she has a dating relationship with. She was also arrested for battery on a peace officer and battery on a health care provider.

REPORT OF A VEHICLE FIRE: The vehicle was removed from the roadway and information about the owner of the vehicle and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his vehicle and stole several items. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — the person was contacted and he was fine.

REPORT OF A DOG BITE: City — reporting party stated that he had been bitten by his roommate’s dog. The reporting party received medical attention at the local hospital. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A MAN WITH A GUN: City — reporting party stated that he observed a person on a roof of a building with a gun. Officer contacted the person who was shooting pigeons. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer contacted several individuals who were involved in a child custody issue. Officer reported that the situation was resolved.

REPORT OF AN INJURED DOG: Officer reported that the dog had been hit by a vehicle. The owner of the dog was contacted and advised.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: Officer received a report of several people trespassing on private property. The manager of the property wanted the people contacted and issued a warning for trespassing. The people were contacted and advised.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: Officer received a report of a juvenile who was attempting to run away. The juvenile was located and released back to his parents.

REPORT OF A SUICIDAL SUBJECT: City — officer contacted the person and reported that she was fine. No problems were located.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City — officer contacted the reporting party who changed her mind and requested no law enforcement involvement.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that someone had entered into his garage and stole several firearms that he had stored there. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A LANDLORD: City — reporting party stated that his landlord had entered into his home and removed a TV. The landlord was contacted who stated that he had removed the TV to hold for collateral, due to the reporting party owned him money. The landlord was advised it was classified as a theft and to return the TV. The TV was returned.

REPORT OF AN AMBULANCE ASSIST: City — officer assisted the Ely ambulance with an elderly male who had fallen and needed medical attention.

REPORT OF A MUSIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted the responsible party and advised him to turn his music down.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE: Officer received a report of a loud party that was taking place. Officer contacted the individuals involved and reported that several people were cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. .

REPORT OF AN AMBULANCE ASSIST: Officer assisted the County ambulance with an elderly male who had fallen and needed medical attention.

REPORT OF A BARKING DOG: Reporting party stated that his neighbor’s dog barks all the time. The reporting party wanted the incident documented. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT: City — reporting party stated that he had parked his vehicle at the City Cemetery and someone had struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City— Drue Ashby of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. As he did so the bumper of the vehicle he was operating struck another vehicle being operated by Sharon Williams of Ely. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A DOG BITE: Reporting party stated that her dogs had gotten into a fight and when she was attempting to separate them she was bitten by one of the dogs. Officer assisted her with attending to the bite and advised her to get medical attention.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Valen R. Hanes age 45 of Kingman, AZ was arrested for failure to yield left had lane and DUI.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that he didn’t want his roommate’s girlfriend at their residence. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem due to his roommate was allowing the girlfriend to be at the residence.
