White Pine competed in the seven-team Mickie Costanzo Memorial Invitational in Elko last Friday. Final team scores were not posted, but the teams showed themselves very well. Noah Walker was just edged out by three-tenths of a second for first place in the 800 meters with Daegan Wilcox of West Wendover.

The Bobcats swept the 110 hurdles, as they were the only team competing in the event.

Saxtyn Brewster led the way for the Bobcats in the field events, winning the high jump, long jump and triple jump, and the boys took the first four places in the high jump.

In the girls meet, Madison Rick won her specialty, the 200m as did Lily Fullmer in the 100m and 300m hurdles. Rick has the top time in the girls 2A ranks this season in the 100m and 200m and Fullmer is the current 2A leader in the 110m and 300m hurdles.

The Ladycats took the first three places in the 1600 meters in the meet.
