REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the manager of a local motel complained about a customer that was refusing to leave. The tenant paid for his room prior to law enforcement arrival.
REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – several juveniles were reportedly throwing sticks into someone’s yard. The juveniles were located and counseled about their actions.
REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was located and was fine.
REPORT OF HARASSMENT: City – the reporting party claimed someone was harassing her. The suspect could not be located.
REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was located and was okay.
REPORT OF A CUSTODY ISSUE: City – the reporting party was having custody issues with her soon to be ex-spouse. Both parties were advised to work together for the welfare of their children.
REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City – the area was checked and nothing was found out of the ordinary.

REPORT OF A THEFT: Reporting party stated that someone had stolen the license plate off her vehicle. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City — officer received a report of several juveniles that were involved in a fight at a local school. The juveniles were contacted and a report will be sent to Juvenile Probation.
REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Diana Ciubotaru age 36 of Ely was arrested on a Henderson Nevada Township Justice Court warrant.
REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS ITEM: City — reporting party stated that she had located a suspicious item at a local park. The reporting party believed it could be drugs. The item was checked and no drugs were located. The item was disposed of.
REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: Reporting party stated that he witnessed an individual enter into a home and remove some items. During the officers investigation it was determined that the person who had entered into the home lived there. No crime had occurred.
REPORT OF A THEFT: Reporting party stated that several stop signs had been stolen from a neighborhood in the county. Investigation into the incident continues.
REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that he juvenile daughter is having a relationship with an individual over the internet and she wants it to stop. The daughter was contacted and advised of the dangers of her actions.
REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that he heard rumor that a person was stealing scrap metal from him and selling it to another person. Investigation into the incident continues.
REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — the child was located who was receiving medical attention at the local hospital.
REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that her juvenile son was acting out and damaging items in their home. The juvenile was contacted and advised to respect his mother and to stop his destructive behavior.
REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: Reporting party stated that an individual had come to his home and was causing a disturbance. The individual was contacted and advised to leave the area. She complied.
REPORT OF A BARKING DOG: City — officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised her of the complaint. She stated that she would take care of the problem.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE: City — officer received a report of several people causing a disturbance at a local casino. The individuals were contacted and one of them was trespassed from the establishment.
REPORT OF AN OPEN DOOR: Officer received a report of an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the door was secured.
REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISPUTE: City — officer contacted the parties involved and reported that during his investigation Tyler P. Kane age 19 of Ely was arrested for domestic battery. Kane is accused of battering his girlfriend.
REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that she had left her wallet inside her vehicle and that someone had entered into her vehicle and had stolen it. The reporting party stated that her debit card was inside the wallet and someone was now using it and had made several transactions with it around the Ely area. Investigation into the incident continues.
REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that the mother of his children was not allowing him to visit them. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem due to the mother had been granted primary custody in a court order.
REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officer contacted the mother and children and reported that they were fine.
REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Vickie L. Peterson age 61 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant. During the officers investigation Peterson was also arrested for DUI and under the influence of a controlled substance.
REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: City — officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and advised her of the complaint. She was issued a warning.
REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of a dog that was locked inside a vehicle and was causing a disturbance. Officer attempted to locate the owner of the vehicle, but was unsuccessful. When he returned to the scene the vehicle had left the area.
REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that she rented a room at a local motel, but then canceled the room. She stated that she was later billed for the room. The motel manager was contacted who stated that the room was never cancelled. The parties involved were advised it was a civil problem.
REPORT OF A FIRE: Officer received a report of a large fire at a local residence. Officer contacted the owner who was advised to put the fire out. Officer reported that he received a second call later on that the fire was still going. Officer issued a citation to the person who was responsible for the fire and the County Fire Department put the fire out.
REPORT OF GRAFFITI: City — officer received a report of someone placing graffiti on a local building. The incident was documented.
REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Officer received a report of a vehicle that had stuck an elk. The area was patrolled, but no accident was located.
REPORT OF AN ARREST: City— officer reported that Joshua E. Ross age 23 of Ely was arrested for driving on right side required and DUI.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM: City – the reporting party claimed to be involved in an argument with their landlord. The incident was documented.
REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: City – a residence appeared to be accumulating trash. The owner was contacted and advised to clean the area.
REPORT OF DRUGS: City – a subject found prescription medication in a vacant apartment they were cleaning. The medication was disposed of.
REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: After being advised of a vehicle driving recklessly and failing to stop for NHP, deputies located the vehicle, occupied by 24 year old Washington resident John Driver. Driver failed to stop for deputies and continued driving recklessly through White Pine County. Driver later stopped and was taken into custody by the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office. Driver was transported back to White Pine County and booked on numerous charges.
REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: The juveniles were gone when officers arrived.

REPORT OF AN ARREST:City – 22 year old Carlin resident Masen Miller was stopped for speeding. He was later arrested for speeding and having an open container of alcohol.
REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: City – the manager of a local motel reported a vehicle had been parked in the parking lot for several days. The vehicle was checked and nothing unusual was noted.
REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – a deputy observed a male and female arguing. Both parties were contacted and they agreed to go their separate ways for the night.

REPORT OF A MISSING PERSON: City – the reporting party claimed her husband was missing. He was found a short distance away.
REPORT OF SHOTS FIRED: Contact was made with a resident in the area where the shot originated. The resident claimed her dog was attacking her puppy and she was forced to shoot the dog to get it to stop. The resident was warned about shooting near a populated area, but she claimed it was the only way to save the puppy.
REPORT OF A THEFT: City – the reporting party returned from out of town and discovered someone had stolen items from his property. The investigation continues.
REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – the parties were contacted and claimed to just be arguing. Both of them separated for the night.
REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City -the juveniles were gone when the deputy arrived.
