The Shopko Foundation has awarded David E. Norman Elementary $1,000 through their Community Charitable Grant program.

This money will be used to buy school supplies to benefit the students of DEN and help relieve parents and teachers of the financial burden of purchasing school supplies.

The Shopko Foundation believes in providing the stuff that counts and enhancing the lives of neighbors in every community that Shopko serves.

The Shopko Foundation supports accredited schools and 501(c)3 organizations with grants that are awarded throughout the year for programs that further the Foundation’s purpose of promoting the health and education of Shopko’s teammates and customers.

Amy Newman, Counselor for David E. Norman Elementary said “this grant will directly affect our students by providing vital supplies that we have had to ask parents to supply in the past. Though it doesn’t cover everything we need, it will go a long way.”
