The Great Basin Service Club announced today the theme for the 2018 Christmas Parade, “Coming Home for Christmas”.

Clubs, organizations and families have plenty of time to develop a float for the parade scheduled for Saturday, December 1st at 12 noon.

Starting on Monday, November 26th the Convention Center will be showcasing all the beautiful trees on display for the “Festival of Trees”. The trees will be auctioned one week later, Friday, November 30th, starting at 6 pm.

Amazing the audience with her vocal magic will be Crystal Gage. Tickets can be purchased from the Convention Center or at the door with the proceeds of the auction being used by the Great Basin Service Club for continual upkeep of existing decorations and the purchase of new decorations for the community.

This weekend’s Christmas activities start with the Festival of Trees Auction on Friday, November 30th at 6 p.m. in the Bristlecone Convention Center. Saturday morning at 10 a.m. the Christmas Crafters Festival opens to the public at the Convention Center. There are many vendors to tempt you with their varying homemade and hand crafted items. There are many “one of a kind” items to enjoy and possibly purchase for that special person on your Christmas list. One might even find that “perfect, elusive gift”

The Crafters Festival closes at 4 pm so be sure to stop by earlier in the day.

The Christmas Parade will start at 12 noon from Broadbent Park and end at the Veterans Memorial Park (formerly the County Park) This year’s theme is “Coming Home for Christmas”.
