If you’re dining out this Saturday at Margarita’s and a police officer walks to your table and says “What can I get you?” Don’t panic, you’re probably not in trouble. The officer is just doing his, or her job for the evening.
On Nov. 17, the White Pine County Sheriff’s Office Employee Association will hold its 6th annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser at Margaritas Restaurant located at 1501 E. Aultman St., inside the Prospector Hotel, The event will begin at 5 p.m.
Last year’s event was reportedly their most successful year with more than $2,000 being raised. The money raised at this event helps provide holiday meals for individuals and families in need during the holiday season.
Staff at Margarita’s graciously allows association members from the sheriff’s office to replace them and be waiters and waitresses for a night.
If anyone would like to donate to Tip-A-Cop, contact an association member at the sheriff’s office at 775-289-8808. Tis the season to give back, eat, drink and be merry, and tip generously.
