REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK City — officer contacted the person who was sleeping in his vehicle. Officer reported that the person was traveling through the area as was resting.
REPORT OF AN ATTEMPTED FRAUD City — reporting party stated that she was selling a horse over the internet. She said a buyer for the horse contacted her and sent a check for payment. When she received the check the amount was over the agreed price. The buyer of the horse wanted her to cash the check and send the extra money to a third party. The reporting party contacted the bank where the check had been issued from and the bank advised her the check was fraudulent. Investigation into the incident continues.
REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT City — officer patrolled the area, but the person was not located.
REPORT OF AN OPEN DOOR City — officer received a report of a garage door being open on a vacant home. The home and garage were checked and no problems were located.
REPORT OF A VIOLATION OF A COURT ORDER City — reporting party stated that an individual contacted her and believes it is a violation of a court order she has in place. Officer investigated the incident and reported that no violation had occurred.
REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT City — officer located the person sleeping near a local church. The indivdual was advised he needed to find another sleeping area.
REPORT OF A POSSIBLE DRUNK DRIVER City — officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver. Officer reported that the person was not intoxicated. No other problems were located.
REPORT OF A FIRE City — officer assisted the City of Ely Fire Department with traffic control while then extinguished a chimney fire at a local residence.
REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS SUBJECTS Reporting party stated that he observed several subjects trying to enter into his shed located near his home. Officer patrolled the area, but the individuals were not located.
REPORT OF AN ALARM City — officer contacted the occupants of the home where the alarm had been activated from and reported that they had accidently set it off.

REPORT OF AN ARREST City – officer received a report of a suspicious subject asking for help. Officer located the person who reported that she had been battered. Officer transported the individual to the E.R. for medical attention due to injuries she had sustained. During the officers investigation a suspect was identified as Robert Armijo age 40 of Ely. Armijo was arrested for domestic battery causing substantial bodily harm.
REPORT OF AN ALARM City — officer received a report of an alarm at a local residence. The home and area was checked and no problems were located.
REPORT OF A FRAUD City — reporting party stated that an individual attempted to purchase an item at her place of business with counterfeit money. When officers arrived the person had left the area. Officer is attempting to locate the individual. Investigation into the incident continues.
REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT City — reporting party stated that he is separated from his wife and since then she has bought items using his name and has been accessing accounts of his by using his passwords over the internet. The reporting party wanted the incident documented. A report was completed.
REPORT OF HARASSMENT City – reporting party stated that she was confronted by a person over relationship problems. The reporting party stated that the person who confronted her has her mistaken for another person. The individual was contacted and advised not to have contact with the reporting party.

REPORT OF THEFT OF UTILITIES Officer received a report of an individual stealing water from a local residence. The reporting party stated that her neighbor had ran a hose from her home to his without her permission. The individual was contacted and issued a citation for theft of utilities.
REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved made arraignments for everyone to be separated to alleviate the ongoing situation.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – a deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as 21 year old Ely resident Austin Zeman. He was later arrested for DUI.
REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was located and claimed to be fine.
REPORT OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: City – a juvenile was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. A report was submitted to Juvenile Probation.
REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 35 year old Ely resident Jonathon Scott Anderson was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 34 year old Ely resident Jonathan Parker was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was located and was fine.
REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: The parties admitted to arguing and had already separated for the night.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – the reporting party claimed her juvenile son was out of control, damaging property. The juvenile had left prior to law enforcement arrival. He was later located. A report was submitted to Juvenile Probation.
REPORT OF A MOTORCYCLE DISTURBANCE: The bike and rider were not located.
REPORT OF A THEFT: City – the reporting party claimed he allowed an acquaintance to spend the night at his home. The next day, after she left, he discovered property missing. The investigation continues.
