REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER:City – the area was checked, but the vehicle wasn’t located.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT:City – Dennis Brooks, of Ely, was walking across the street. Derik Trujillo, of Ely, was turning onto the street in which Brooks was walking. Trujillo didn’t see Brooks and struck him. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A MISSING PERSON:City – the person was later located in Utah.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK:The subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A SUICIDAL SUBJECT: The subject was contacted and claimed to not have thoughts of hurting himself. He was left in the care of family members.

REPORT OF A CUSTODY ISSUE: City – the reporting party claimed to be having a custody issue with the mother of his child. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT:City – a female was reportedly creating a disturbance in a local store. The female was contacted and advised to stop. She left without incident.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY:The reporting party discovered an unknown subject had broken into her residence and stole her property. The investigation continues.

REPORT OF THREATS:City – the report was unfounded.

REPORT OF A PARKING VIOLATION:City – the owner was contacted and moved the vehicle.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the reporting party observed a male urinating in front of a local store. The male was located and issued a citation for indecent exposure.

REPORT OF A CUSTODY ISSUE: The parties resolved the issue when officers arrived.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – the parties were contacted and claimed to have only argued.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – a deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, identified as 34 year old Brittany Sarah Slight, of Ely. Slight was later arrested for DUI.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was located and claimed to be fine.

REPORT OF THREATS: The reporting party claimed to have received threats via text message, but he was unable to locate his phone to show the officer.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: The building was checked and found to be secure.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Jose Godinez-Rubio, of Elko, allowed his vehicle to leave a dirt roadway, causing it to roll over. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: The reporting party believed someone tried to break into his home. No signs of entry were found.

REPORT OF A SEXUAL ASSAULT: The reporting party said she had been sexually assaulted. The investigation continues.

REPORT OF HARASSMENT: City – the reporting party claimed to be receiving harassing phone calls. The suspect was identified as a juvenile and his father was contacted and said he’d handle the issue.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – the reporting party discovered her juvenile son had shoplifted a knife from a local store and later took it to school. The juvenile admitted to said actions. A report was completed and will be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A CUSTODY ISSUE: City – the mother and father of a child were arguing over custody of their child. They were advised to do what was in the best interest of the child and work out the problem.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: The reporting party claimed that a juvenile was calling her son names. Both parties were counseled and the school where the juveniles attend was made aware of the situation.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: City – the reporting party believes someone keeps breaking into his home and stealing his consumables. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A CUSTODY ISSUE: City – the reporting party claimed her ex-husband had taken their child out of state without her permission, and was possibly moving there as well, which is a violation of their divorce decree. The investigation continues.

City – the subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – a manager of a local store reported an employee had shoplifted and an item. The employee was issued a citation and trespassed from the store.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – it was discovered the subject was in the hospital.

REPORT OF CHILD ABUSE: City – the reporting party claimed a young child had been abused by a family member. The abuse was unfounded.

REPORT OF A SUICIDAL SUBJECT: City – the reporting party claimed an ex-boyfriend was sending her texts, threatening suicide. He was later located in Idaho.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH SUBJECTS: City – two intoxicated subjects were reportedly trying to get into a vehicle and drive. They were contacted and advised not to drive. Both subjects complied.

REPORT OF A MOTORCYCLE DISTURBANCE: City – the motorcycles were gone when the deputy arrived.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was not located, but the reporting party claimed to have made telephonic contact with her and she was fine.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: The subject wasn’t located.

REPORT OF A THEFT: The reporting party claimed a male stole money and property from him. The male was located, but denied stealing anything. The reporting party was allowed to sign a citizen’s complaint for petit larceny, which was later issued to the male.

NOV. 18

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: Deputies made contact with both parties, who denied arguing, but did say they had been yelling at the televison while watching football.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the reporting party was upset because some kids had smashed pumpkins in the street. Contact was made with the parent of one of the children, and she said she had given her daughter permission to smash their own pumpkin, and she thought they had picked up all of the pieces. She said she’d have her kids pick up the remaining remnants.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – several young children were observed unattended in a park, some of which were not dressed properly for the weather. The parents were contacted and advised of the concerns. All children appeared to be healthy and happy.

REPORT OF A BATTERY: City – the reporting party claimed a male subject had been battered and the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was later located and identified as 20 year old Robert Ceniceros, of California. He was later arrested for minor in consumption. The victim of the battery did not want to pursue charges.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was contacted and claimed to be fine.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was located and found to be having thoughts of suicide. He was escorted to the hospital for evaluation.
