The Angel Tree at David E. Norman Elementary still needs people to commit to buying gifts.

The Ely Times

We will all be busy shopping this Holiday Season, but don’t forget you can help make the wishes of many White Pine County Children come true this year.

The Angel Tree at David E. Norman Elementary still has quite a few ornaments on it and they need your help.

Every Christmas there are children who do not receive gifts because their families are struggling financially and cannot afford the expense. Instead of ornaments the tree is adorned with small pieces of paper.

On each tag, there is a gift request made by a child in the community.

Anyone is welcome to pick up a tag, at DEN located at 1001 E. 11th St. You can purchase a gift, and return it to David E. Norman.

All gifts need to be received at the school by Monday, Dec. 17, in order to organize and distribute in time for Christmas. Presents should be unwrapped and marked with the ornament number.

This project has been helping give children in White Pine County a Merry Christmas for the past four years now. The Angel Tree provides an excellent opportunity for those who want to make a difference.
