Several locals have already showed up to Desert Rose Ceramics to start painting the 1,000 tiles that Paul Kellogg has donated for White Pine residents to paint for free. The tiles will be placed at the Hotel Nevada in the near future. Forty tiles have been painted so far, and while several people were at Desert Rose to paint when the Ely Times stopped in, there are several that still need to be painted. All you need to do is show up with your ID that shows you are a White Pine resident, and then let your artistic side come out. Desert Rose Ceramics is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
