REPORT OF A THEFT: The report was unfounded.

REPORT OF A HABITUAL TRUANT: City – a student was deemed a habitual truant and was issued a citation.  A report was submitted to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – the reporting party claimed several people had stolen property belonging to his deceased father.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: City – the report was unfounded.

REPORT OF A HIT AND RUN: City – the reporting party claimed an unknown vehicle struck her parked car in a parking lot, and then left the area.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: City – the subject wasn’t located.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 24 year old Omar Hamadi, of Boise, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

 REPORT OF A STOLEN VEHICLE Reporting party stated that several individuals were loitering around his motor home and believed they were trying to steal it. Officer patrolled the area, but no one was located.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE THEFT City- reporting party stated that he had his vehicle towed to a local tow yard. When he went to get his vehicle several items were missing. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF COUNTERFEIT MONEY City- reporting party stated that an individual came to his place of business and tried to purchase an item with counterfeit money. Officer contacted the responsible person and conducted a search of the money he had in his possession. No other counterfeit money was located. It was determined that he had received the counterfeit bill during a business transaction. The counterfeit bill was collected.

REPORT OF POSSIBLE DRUG USE City – officer received a report of a student at a local school who was under the influence of a controlled substance. Officer contacted the student and his parent and determined that he was under the influence. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A THEFT City — reporting party stated that someone had entered into his vehicle and removed his house keys which he had left inside. The reporting party was advised to change his lock to his home and to secure his vehicle. The incident was documented. 

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT City — officer located the person and reported that no problems were observed.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT

City — Christine Stones of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a parked and unoccupied vehicle behind her belonging to Kay Zehr of Ely. Stones vehicle struck Zehr’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT City — Dale Steneck of McGill was operating a vehicle at the intersection of 8th street and Aultman. He proceeded into the intersection, but due to oncoming traffic he did not proceed and instead backed up colliding with a vehicle being operated by Izaiah Medina. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A THEFT City— reporting party stated that he ordered an item online. When he checked the delivery statues it showed that it had been delivered. The reporting party stated that he never received the package. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK City — officer contacted the person and reported that she was fine.

REPORT OF UNATTENDED CHILDREN City — officer received a report of several small children left unattended inside a vehicle at a local parking lot. Officer located the children inside the vehicle unattended. The parent was contacted who was shopping at a local store. The parent was issued a citation for allowing the children to be unsupervised.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK Officer contacted the person by phone who stated that he was fine.

REPORT OF A BUSINESS CHECK City — officer received a report of someone being inside a vacant building. Officer’s checked the building and reported that it was secured and no problems were located.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK City — officer contacted the person who stated that she had a seizure, but was fine. The individual requested no other assiatcne.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE JUVENILE PARTY Officer contacted several juveniles in the area and reported that no problems were located.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM Officer received a report of a dog that was no being cared for. Officer reported that he located the dog tied with a chain. The dog was unable to reach its food, water or shelter. The owner of the dog was contacted and issued a citation for animal neglect.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM City — reporting party stated that several dogs at large attacked her cat. Officer patrolled the area, but the dogs were not located.

REPORT OF A SCAM City — reporting party stated that he started chatting with a female over a dating site. He stated that some of their conversations were of a sexual nature. He stated that the female then advised him that she was only a juvenile. Later the reporting party stated that he received several messages from an individual claiming to be the girl’s father and was demanding money. The reporting party was advised it was a scam and to discontinue his contact with the callers.

REPORT OF A THEFT City — reporting party stated that someone had entered a storage facility at her place of employment and had removed several items. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT City — reporting party stated that she recently ended her relationship with her boyfriend and moved out of his home. The reporting party stated that her now ex-boyfriend would not give her any of her property. The parties involved were contacted and advised to separate their property in a civil manner.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM City — reporting party stated that he bought a cell phone off the internet, but was unable to set the phone up. Officer reported that no crime had occurred.

 REPORT OF AN ARREST City — officer reported that Ry an Wallace age 32 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT City — reporting party stated that an indidvual was located inside his home and he requested he be removed and trespassed. Officer contacted the individual who stated that he was there visiting a friend. The person was trespassed him for the residence.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE City — officer located the vehicle and contacted the operator. The operator had pulled his vehicle over to sleep. No problem ere located.

REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE Officer captured the dog and took him to the Ely Dog Pound.

REPORT OF DOGS AT LARGE City — officer located several dogs running at large, but was unable to capture them.

REPORT OF A MOTORCYCLE DISTURBANCE The area was patrolled, but the motorcycle was not located.

REPORT OF A MOTORCYCLE DISTURBANCE Officer located the motorcycle parked at a local residence. The operator was contacted and advised not to ride on the roadway.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT Zane Jordan of Ely was operating a vehicle leaving a parked position in a local parking lot. As he did so his vehicle collided with a parked and unoccupied vehicle belonging to Delvin Gregerson of Ely. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A THEFT City — reporting party stated that his debit card had been stolen and someone was using it. Officer reported that during his investigation a suspect has been identified. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF A DELAYED ACCIDENT: The reporting party struck a deer on the highway.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City – the reporting party claimed a male was selling alcohol out of his vehicle.  The male was contacted and advised he couldn’t sell alcohol from his vehicle.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: The juvenile wasn’t located.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was located and claimed to be okay.

REPORT OF FRAUD: City – the report was unfounded.

REPORT OF THREATS: City – the reporting party claimed to be receiving threats from an unknown number.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City -the subject, who had been banging on doors to random houses, was contacted and advised to cease his behavior.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – a male subject was creating a disturbance.  He was located and advised to leave, in which he complied.
