To the editor:

At its meeting on Feb. 27, the White Pine County Commission unanimously decided to write a letter to the state Attorney General, opposing his decision to join other states in a lawsuit against Trump’s border wall. Regardless of what you think of the controversial border wall, this is a waste of county time and resources. Nobody cares what White Pine County thinks about this issue, and it does not affect county residents in the slightest.

Our county commissioners should stop wasting their time and taxpayer resources on frivolous business, and get back to the real work of making our county a great place to live.
