REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – deputies responded and discovered 39 year old Ely resident, Christopher Tedesco, had used force or violence against a person with whom he has a relationship.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – the parties were contacted and claimed to have only been arguing.  Both parties separated for the night.

REPORT OF A RUNAWAY JUVENILE: City – the juvenile was located and returned to his guardian.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: The reporting party requested an extended family member be removed from his property.  The suspect left without incident.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – a deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as 38 year old Ely resident Jeffery Alan Williams.  He was later arrested for DUI.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A MUSIC DISTURBANCE: The area was checked and no disturbance was located.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – deputies responded and met with the parties involved.  Based on the investigation, it was determined 41 year old Ely resident Julie Buhler used force against a person with whom she is dating.  She also hindered the victim’s ability to call law enforcement for assistance.  When she was arrested, she actively resisted.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the subject was contacted and trespassed from the property.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: City – 40 year old Jonathan Mireles, of Arizona, was arrested for trespassing on property where he had previously been warned.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the reporting party claims to be harassed by another person.  She was later allowed to sign a citation against the suspect.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: City – the manager of a local business claimed a male subject, whom she had trespassed before, had returned.  The male was not on the property when deputies arrived.

REPORT OF A BATTERY: City – a juvenile battered another juvenile while at school.  A report was completed and forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF CHILD ABUSE: City – the incident was investigated and was unfounded.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE BATTERY: City – two juveniles were involved in a fight at school.  A report was completed and submitted to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A TRUANCY: City – a student was deemed a habitual truant and issued a citation.  A report will be forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF TRESPASSING: City – 69 year old Arden Garlic, of Ely, was arrested for trespassing after being found on condemned property.

REPORT OF AN UNATTENDED DEATH: City – Jack Cork passed away at his residence due to natural causes.

REPORT OF A SEX CRIME: City – the incident was investigated and determined to be unfounded.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject wasn’t located.

REPORT OF IDENTITY THEFT: City – the reporting party claimed to have received a phone call from a police department requesting her personal identifying information, which she gave them.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – the reporting party claimed a juvenile was being unruly.  The child was spoken to and advised to be better behaved.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – a deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, identified as 32 year old Ronnie James Barton of Ely.  Contact was also made with the passenger, identified as 32 year old Jenna Stevens, also of Ely.  Barton was arrested for driving with a suspended license.  When arrested, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Subsequently, other controlled substances were located in his vehicle.  Stevens was also later arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: City – the owner was contacted and he agreed to clean up his trash.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK:

The subject was contacted and claimed to be fine.

 

REPORT OF AN INTOXICATED DRIVER:

The vehicle wasn’t located.

 

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER:

City – the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied.

 

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT:

City – Danny Hearold, of Ely, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Debbie Walker, of Ely due to slick road conditions.

City – Jackie Hall, of Ely, slid through an intersection striking a vehicle driven by Vincent Hughes, of Arizona.

 

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISPUTE:

It was discovered the parties had only been arguing.

 

REPORT OF AN ARREST:

A deputy spoke to the driver of a vehicle in regards to damaged property and a possible accident.  The driver was identified as 31 year old Elwyn James Shorthair, of Ely.  He was later arrested for DUI.

City – the reporting party claimed her daughter didn’t come home from school.\ The child late returned home.

City – the reporting party found someone had used false email addresses belonging to coworkers, requesting their paychecks be deposited in a different bank account.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A FIGHT:

City – two males got into a fight at a local tavern.  The fight was over when deputies arrived.  Based on several witness statements, it appeared to be mutual in nature.  A report was completed.

 

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT:

City – a male subject was allegedly intoxicated and passed out at a local gaming establishment.  The male left when law enforcement arrived.

 

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:

City – the reporting party claimed a vehicle kept circling the block, honking the horn.  Contact was made with the driver and occupants, who said they were looking for a friend and having fun.

 

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT:

City – Nicolas Garza, of Ely, was turning onto a roadway from a stop sign and failed to see a vehicle being operated by Angel Miller, of Ely, striking her.  Garza was issued a citation for failure to yield.

 

REPORT OF AN ARREST:

City – Francis Barry, of Ely, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

 

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT:

City – Devin Riding, of Ely, failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Hannah Laswell, of Ely.  Riding was issued a citation.

 

REPORT OF A THEFT:

City – the reporting party claimed someone stole something from his vehicle.  The investigation continues.

City – a male subject claimed to be harassed by another male subject.  A report was completed.
