MARCH 24 

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – the parties were contacted and had only been arguing.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: The reporting party claimed someone broke into her shop and stole property.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – several juveniles were reportedly attempting to damage property in a local park.  The juveniles were contacted and advised not to damage the property.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Robert Johnson, of Ely, swerved to miss a deer, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn.  A report was completed.

MARCH 25 

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the reporting party claimed a female keeps coming to her house harassing her.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A DEATH: City – Dan Wood passed away from unknown causes.  He was transported to the Clark County Medical Examiner for further investigation.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – a student was being disruptive in class.  She was later suspended.

REPORT OF THREATS: City – the reporting party claimed a male came into the business and made threats.  The male was advised not to return to the business.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 36 year old Henderson resident Lonnie Hair was reportedly taking pictures of a local school and the children playing there.  When approached, Hair refused to cooperate with the investigation.  He was arrested for obstructing a public officer.

MARCH 26 

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City – the fight was over and the parties separated when deputies arrived.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: The reporting party requested a person be trespassed from her workplace.  The person was located and advised not to return to the business.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject wasn’t located.

REPORT OF AN UNATTENDED DEATH: John Manor passed away at his residence due to natural causes.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City – the subjects were gone when officers arrived.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: A deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, identified as 35 year old Oregon resident Benjamin Bryson.  He was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license.  The passenger of the vehicle was identified as 37 year old Missouri resident Blake Booth.  He was arrested for attempting to obstruct the investigation and also for littering.

MARCH 27 

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Elizabeth Francis struck a deer in the roadway.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A PARKING VIOLATION: City – the owner was contacted and moved the vehicle.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Two people were seen entering a vacant home.  They were later located and claimed to have just been looking around.  Both were warned about trespassing.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: A juvenile battered another juvenile.  A report will be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – a deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, identified as 62 year old Ely resident Peter Maistros.  He was later arrested for DUI.

MARCH 28 

REPORT OF A TRUANCY:

City – a student was deemed a habitual truant and will be issued a citation.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was contacted and was fine.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – a stole vehicle, from California, was located and 39 year old California resident Charles Duran was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

REPORT OF A TRUANCY: City – a student was deemed a habitual truant and will be issued a citation.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was located and claimed to be okay.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: Two drivers were involved in an argument after one cut off the other one.  Both parties separated without incident.

REPORT OF A SHOPLIFTER: City – the reporting party claimed a female came into his workplace and took items without paying for them.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF FRAUD: City – the reporting party discovered an unknown person had withdrawn money from his bank account without his authorization.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF THREATS: The reporting party claimed a neighbor’s dog had killed their fowl and the dog had been shot by the owner of the livestock.  The dog’s owner made a threat.  The owner of the dog was contacted and claimed he had been upset in the moment.  Both parties advised to stay away from each other.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: City – the vehicle was moved.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 34 year old Ely resident Lucien Leflohic was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

 REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was contacted and claimed to be fine.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the reporting party claimed to have gotten into an argument with an employee at a local business.  The reporting party left the premises.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE: City – there was no disturbance when the deputy arrived.

MARCH 31

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 34 year old Ely resident Lucien Leflohic was arrest for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

REPORT OF A NOISE DISTURBANCE: City – when deputies arrived, there was no disturbance.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – when deputies arrived, they determined 18 year old Ely resident Kionna McNay used force against a person in which she has a child in common.  She was arrested without incident.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISPUTE: The parties were contacted and it was discovered they had been arguing.  One of the parties was making threats of hurting himself and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

REPORT OF VANDALISM: The reporting party discovered damage to his vehicle.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF HARASSMENT: The reporting party claimed to be harassed on the phone.  Contact was attempted with the suspect, but the deputy was unsuccessful.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: The deputy was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 24 year old Washington resident Natalie Stafford was arrested for driving with a revoked driver’s license.

APRIL 1  

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that he observed a vehicle violate a traffic law. Officer stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Rueben Ramirez Jr age 30 of Tahoe, CA. Ramirez was arrested for non-resident driving suspended.

REPORT OF A FIRE: Officer received a report of a vehicle fire near Garnet Hill Road. Officer reported that when he arrived on scene the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The fire is being investigated as an arson.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: Officer contacted the grandmother and teenager and reported that the teenager was being disrespectful and was not willing to follow the grandmother’s rules. The teenager was advised to follow the rules put into place by the grandmother.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of several students at a local school who were in possession of illegal substances. The students were contacted along with their guardians and a report will be sent to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: Reporting party stated that her neighbor was not cleaning up after her animals and it was causing a bad odor. Officer will contact the neighbor and inspect the area where the animals live.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: Reporting party stated that a family member became upset when they were separating property of a deceased relative. The reporting party wanted the incident documented in case further problems arose. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM: Reporting party stated that he had made a civil agreement to allow a person to live in one of his homes. The reporting party stated that the person was no longer paying rent. The reporting party was advised to evict the renter.

 REPORT OF A THEFT: Reporting party stated that someone had stolen some copper wire from a pump station. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: City — reporting party stated that she had served an eviction notice on her renter, but the renter was still on the property. The renter was contacted and advised to vacate the property.

REPORT OF A MOTORCYCLE DISTURBANCE: Officer located the person operating the motorcycle and advised him of the complaint. He was issued a warning.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that he was being chased by several juveniles who wanted to fight him. All the juveniles involved were contacted who advised it was just a misunderstanding.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: Officer contacted the person and reported that he was fine. No assistance was requested.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officer contacted the person who stated that he was emotional upset, but was fine. The person requested no assiatcne.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS PERSON: City — officer contacted the individual and reported that no problems were located.
