APRIL 2

 REPORT OF A NOISE DISTURBANCE: City – the suspect was contacted and agreed to stop making noise.

REPORT OF FRAUD: The reporting party received a phone call from a subject claiming to be his grandson requesting money to get out of jail.  It was not his grandson.  He was advised this was a scam.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject claimed to be fine.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – a deputy discovered a vehicle driving with fictitious license plates.  A traffic stop was conducted, and he spoke to the driver, identified as 49 year old Ely resident Michael Keys.  He was later arrested for driving with a revoked license.

REPORT OF A SHOPLIFTER: City – the subject was located, issued a citation for petit larceny, and trespassed from the business.

REPORT OF A DEATH: City – Mark Mull was found deceased at his residence from an unknown cause.  The investigation continues.

APRIL 3

REPORT OF THREATS: City – the suspect was contacted and denied making any threats.

REPORT OF A TRUANCY: City – a student was deemed a habitual truant and was issued a citation.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE BATTERY: City – two students got into a fight while at school.  A report was completed and forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the reporting party observed a male urinating in public.  The male was later located and warned about urinating in a public place.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the subject left when deputies arrived.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – a subject was reportedly urinating in the cemetery and yelling obscenities as people drove by.  Deputies located the subject outside the cemetery, continuing to disturb the peace.  The male was identified as 60 year old Ely resident Jeffrey Best.  He was arrested.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City – Earl Jones, of Nevada, was backing from a parked position and struck another parked vehicle.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF AN INTOXICATED SUBJECT: City – the subject was located and was waiting for a ride.

REPORT OF A THEFT: Upon speaking to the reporting party, he wasn’t sure if someone stole his wallet, or if he hid it really well.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – Joseph Creaghe, of Ely, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: Jack Moore, of Nevada, was backing up in a parking lot with a trailer and struck a parked vehicle.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF FRAUD: City – the reporting party said she allowed an acquaintance to use her debit card to cover a bill, but now she’s discovered multiple transactions which she didn’t authorize.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: The reporting party complained his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend had been following him.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF AN INTOXICATED DRIVER: City – the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 25 year old Ely resident Vinny Hill was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

APRIL 5

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: A male subject was located camping on BLM property.  No crime was found.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 30 year old Nikkey J Bronson and 31 year old Nichole Jordan, both from Ely, were arrested for outstanding warrants.  Bronson was also a suspect in a theft and had been in possession of stolen property.  During an inventory of their property, two firearms were located.  Both Bronson and Jordan are prohibited people and not allowed to legally be in possession of a firearm.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was located and claimed to be okay.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – the subjects were contacted and both admitted to arguing.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – deputies arrived and determined 55 year old Ely resident Manuel DelToro had used force against a person with whom he was in a relationship.  He was arrested for domestic battery.

APRIL 6

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – an employee of a local store discovered 29 year old Ely resident Lucrecia Romero, had left the store without paying with merchandise in her possession.  She was later located and arrested.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City – 19 year old Ely resident Marshall Kody Douglass was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

REPORT OF A DEATH: City – Ashley Weger was located deceased in her residence from unknown causes.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF AN INTOXICATED PEDESTRIAN: City – the subject was not located.
