The 2019 Nevada Music Educators Association All-State Music Festival was held at UNLV from April 3-6.  

Several members of the White Pine Middle School Advanced Band were selected to play in the All-State Middle School Band which consisted of a 125 members from 32 schools.

with well-known composer Dr. Gary Gilroy, Professor of Music and Director of Bands at California State University, Fresno, before performing a concert.  

Members of the White Pine Band selected were; Madison Sorenson, flute, Nafanua Vinson, euphonium, Kanigh Snyder, French horn, Addy Kerner, clarinet, and Rihanna Oxborrow, trombone.  

More recently, two members of the White Pine High School band were selected to the All-State Small Schools Band. Those members selected were Chloe De Jesus, trombone, and Hailey Oxborrow, trombone.  They had the opportunity to perform in the ensemble led by Dr. Bryant Smith of Dixie State University at Churchill County High School from April 25-27.
