Scott G. Trujillo, 51 years of age, of McGill, Nevada, passed away April 17, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 21, 1967 in Ely, Nevada to Diana Apodaca and John D. Trujillo.
Scott graduated White Pine High School in 1986. He was married in 1987 to Janine Sankovich and started a family, raising 4 children. He graduated Northwest Lineworker Program in 2001 and enjoyed a career as an electrician. Scott enjoyed his Harley Davidson, camping, and hunting big game with his children. He liked horseback riding, golfing, and softball. He loved family vacations in Tahoe. Scott was known for coming up with unique and humorous nicknames for the babies of the family.
Scott is preceded in death by grandparents, George and Bernice Apodaca, Nelson and Lordes Medina; sister, Brenda Hampton; nephew, Kody Drake. He is survived by his parents, mother, Diana (Arthur) Buckner and father, John D. (Murlynn Ingle) Trujillo; sisters, Priscilla (John) Ogden, Bernadette (Cody) Burrows, Brandy Hughes; brothers John L. Trujillo, Jesse (Naomi Harris) Buckner, Clint Buckner, and Tony Apodaca Buckner; his wife, Janine; children, Scott J (Danielle Bay) Trujillo, Jared Trujillo, Cierra (Billy Leung) Trujillo, and Abriana Trujillo; grandchildren, Christian, MaKenley, Mila Trujillo and Brielle Leung; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life and BBQ will be held Saturday May 11, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Ely Shoshone Education Center and Horseshoe Pits at 250 Heritage Drive Ely, Nevada
