REPORT OF A BARKING DOG: City — the owner of the dog was contacted and advised of the problem. The owner took the dog inside his residence for the night.

REPORT OF A STRANDED MOTORIST: Officers received a report of an individual who was operating a vehicle on the Hamilton Road. The person’s vehicle had become stuck. Search and Rescue responded and was able to locate the person and provide assistance.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: City — officer received a report of a large amount of garbage accumulating at a local residence. The occupant of the home was contacted and advised to clean it up.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officer contacted the person who stated that she was fine and needed no assistance.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: City — officer contacted the operator of the vehicle who denied that he was driving reckless. The driver was issued a warning.

REPORT OF AN AGENCY ASSIST: City — officer assisted the Animal Control Officer with a dog at large problem.

REPORT OF HARASSMENT: City — reporting party stated that he is receiving phone calls from the same caller several times a day. The caller is rude and makes degrading comments. The reporting party was advised to have the number blocked.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City — reporting party stated that she observed an individual taking pictures of her vehicle. The reporting party didn’t know the person or why they would be taking pictures. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted the parties involved who stated that they had been involved in an argument. The parties involved agreed to separate for the day.

REPORT OF A TRUANCY: City — officer received a report of a juvenile who was truant from school. The juvenile was issued a citation for truancy.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: The area was patrolled, but the motorcycle was not located.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Chery McNutt of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on US 50. A deer entered into the roadway striking the vehicle she was operating. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City — officer received a report of a juvenile fight that had occurred at a local school. School administration had already taken corrective measures on one of the students involved. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that while some workers were doing some work on her home some money she had in her purse came up missing. Officer will contact the workers and interview them reference the missing money.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: City — officer located the vehicle, but it was parked and unoccupied.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM: Reporting party located a dog that appeared to be abused. The dog was taken in and provide vet care. The owner of the dog was located and the investigation into the circumstances related to dogs condition is under investigation.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of a barking dog. Officer located the dog, but the owner of the dog was not at home. Contact with the owner will be completed at a later date.

REPORT OF A LOST AND FOUND ITEMS: City — officer received a report of several items that had been located in the roadway. Upon investigating the items they had been removed from a business dumpster. The items were returned to the trash.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City — Robert Robison was operating a vehicle traveling through a private parking lot. As he did so he struck a parked vehicle belonging to Jodie Chlouber of Ely. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS SUBJECTS: City — officer contacted the individuals who were traveling through the area. No problems were located.

REPORT OF THREATS: City — reporting party wanted an incident documented over an argument she had with a past tenant of a building she rented. She stated that the past tenant had made threats towards her. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that a bicycle had been stolen from her residence.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: Officer contacted the parties involved who stated that the argument was only verbal. The parties involved were advised to separate for the day.

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST: Officer assisted a citizen who was having a medical problem. The citizen was assisted back into her residence.

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST: City — officer assisted an individual who needed transportation from the hospital to a local motel.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of a barking dog. The owner was contacted and advised of the complaint. The owner took the dog into the home for the evening.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officer patrolled the area, but the person was not located.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City— officer received a report of several juveniles causing a noise disturbance. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — reporting party stated that while his vehicle was parked and unoccupied it was struck by another vehicle. The striking vehicle fled the scene.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officer contacted the person who had attempted to take his life. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical assistance.

REPORT OF AN ALARM: False alarm.

REPORT OF DOGS AT LARGE: City— the dogs were captured and taken to the Ely Dog Pound.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A LANDLORD: City — reporting party stated that his landlord had removed him from the motel room he is renting. The landlord was contacted and advised to follow the eviction process. The reporting party was allowed to move back into his room, due to his rent had been paid up for the week.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City — officer contacted the person who was looking for her dog that had gotten out of her yard.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer received a report of an individual who needed to be trespassed from a local business. When the officers arrived the person had left the area.

REPORT OF AN AGENCY ASSIST: Officer received a notification of a death that had occurred in Henderson, NV and the next of kin needed to be notified. Officer contacted the next of kin and the notification was completed.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of a dog running at large. The owner of the dog was contacted and advised to keep his dog contained.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Nichole Jordan age 31 of Ely was arrested on a White Pine County District Court warrant.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: Officer contacted the occupant of the home and advise him to remove the garbage that had accumulated in the front of his yard.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: Officer observed a large amount of garbage that had accumulated in the person’s yard. Officer is attempting to make contact with the occupant of the home and advise him to have it removed.

REPORT OF A THEFT: Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his barn and had stolen several items. Investigation into the theft continues.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City— reporting party stated that someone had stolen her EBT card and was using it at a local business. Officers have identified the person who was using the card and they are attempting to locate her.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City — the area was patrolled, but the person was not located.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer received a report of an individual who needed to be trespassed from a local business. The person was contacted and identified as Gloria Taylor age 36 of Ely. Taylor was arrested for Ex-felon failure to register.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that during a traffic stop on a vehicle the operator was identified as Charlie Manzano age 31 of Adelanto, CA. During the officers investigation Manzano was arrested for DUI and open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of several juveniles who were trespassing on a person’s property. The area was patrolled, but they were not located.

REPORT OF A SEARCH AND RESCUE EFFORT: Officer received a report of two vehicles that had become stuck in the mud on a county roadway leaving the operators stranded. The operators were advised that the Sheriff’s Office could remove them, but there vehicles would have to stay there until the roads were in better conditions. The occupants of the vehicles decided to stay with their vehicles. They were advised to call if they changed their minds.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of several juveniles climbing on the roof a school. The juveniles were contacted and advised to stay off the roof.

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST: City — officer received a report of a child whose foot had become caught in a storm drain. Officer was able to pry the drain apart and remove her foot from the drain.

REPORT OF A CITIZEN ASSIST: Officer received a report of an individual who was operating a vehicle on a county roadway. Her vehicle had become stuck in the mud and she was now walking to town. NHP arrived on scene and provided her a ride into Ely.

JUNE 4  

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted the parties involved who stated that they were arguing over child custody. The parties involved separated for the night. No other problems were reported.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A JUVENILE: City — officer contacted the juvenile who was having some type of medical problem. The juvenile was taken to the ER for medical assistance.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that an individual who was watching her property while she was out of the Ely area stole a gas powered generator from her home. Officers are attempting to locate the possible suspect.

REPORT OF PROPERTY DAMAGE: Reporting party stated that someone had broken a window on her home. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City — officer contacted the juvenile and his father and reported that they were both fine and they requested no assistance.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: Officer received a report of a juvenile who had possibly consumed a large amount of alcohol and was in need of assistance. Officer contacted the juvenile and reported that he needed medical assistance. The juvenile was taken to ER by ambulance.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of a juvenile who was out of control and not minding his father. The juvenile was contacted and spoken to about following his father rules.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that he had several hunting items stored in his boat that was parked on his property. He stated that someone had entered into his boat and removed the items. Investigation into the theft continues.

REPORT OF A DEAD ANTELOPE IN THE ROADWAY: The antelope was removed.

REPORT OF AN AGENCY ASSIST: City — officer assisted Juvenile Probation with follow up on a juvenile who is currently on probation.

REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE: City — officers captured the dog and placed it into the Ely Dog Pound.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – officer received a report of a theft that had occurred at a local motel. Investigation into the theft continues.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — Heather Peterson of Ely reported that she was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a vehicle parked behind her belonging to Antonio Borunda. Peterson’s vehicle collided with Borunda’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: Officer contacted the individual who denied that anything was wrong. Family members were present who were assisting the individual through her problems.
