Ely, (NV.) – The Journey of Hope North team will be stopping in Ely as part of their cross-country journey from San Francisco to Washington D.C., part of a 4,370-mile cycling event across the country. This group of 22 cyclists and six crew members is one of three Journey of Hope teams.

The team will dedicate their summer to supporting people with disabilities with community events, advocacy presentations and grant support. These men will average 75-miles per day on their journey from San Francisco to Washington, D.C.

When: Tuesday, June 18

Where: White Pine High School gym.

What: Journey of Hope, organized by The Ability Experience, is a cycling trip that raises awareness and support for people with disabilities. Friendship Visits along the route will allow team members the opportunities to engage and develop friendships with the community members they are riding in support of. The team will be staying at White Pine High School Gym for lodging while in Ely. Combined with corporate sponsorships, the three 2019 Journey of Hope teams will raise more than $750,000 for people with disabilities across the nation.

Who: Collegiate members of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity from across the nation.
