JUNE 7

REPORT OF A DOEMTIC DISTURBANCE: City —officer contacted the parties involved and reported that they gave conflicting statements on what had occurred. The parties involved were advised to separate for the day.

REPORT OF A LOCATED STOLEN VEHICLE: Officer received a report of a vehicle that had been located that had been previously been reported as stolen. Officer confirmed it was the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was towed back to Ely.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted one of the parties involved who stated that she had been engaged in a verbal argument with an individual. The reporting party stated that the argument was over the other person having a warrant for their arrest. The other party involved had left the area before officers arrived.

REPORT OF A TRAFFIC HAZZARD: Officer received a report of a semi-truck blocking the roadway. Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle who was having mechanical problems. The vehicle was repaired and removed from the roadway.

REPORT OF AN INJURY: City — officer received a report of a juvenile who had been injured while riding a scooter. Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that the juvenile riding the scooter had grabbed onto a moving vehicle to be towed. He lost control and crashed causing injuries to himself. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of several juveniles causing a disturbance. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer received a report of an individual trying to live in a condemned home. The person was contacted and advised to stay out of the residence.

REPORT OF A TRASH PROBLEM: Officer received a report of several bags of trash laying near the roadway. The bags were collected and taken to the Landfill.

REPORT OF A PARKING PROBLEM: Officer contacted the owner of the vehicle and had it removed from the area.

REPORT OF AN OPEN DOOR: City — officer received a report of an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the door secured.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that he had an argument with an individual and the individual made comments that indicated he was going to have another person cause harm to him. The reporting party wanted the incident documented.

REPORT OF AN INJURED CAT: Officer received a report of a cat that has been struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived the cat was deceased. The cat was removed from the roadway.

JUNE 8 

REPORT OF ILLEGALY PARKED VEHICLES: Officer received a report of several illegally parked vehicles on a roadway. The vehicles were tagged for removal.

REPORT PF A THEFT: Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his camper trailer and stole his TV. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that an employee of his came to his job site and was yelling at him. Officer contacted the employee who stated that the reporting party was supposed to pick her up for work, but didn’t show up. The parties involved were advised to stay away from each other.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City — reporting party stated that she bought a car from an individual, but she didn’t get the title. The reporting party was advised to contact the DMV to obtain the information needed on how to title the car.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Danielle N Cabello age 28 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

REPORT OF POSSIBLE DRUNK DRIVER: The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE DRUNK DRIVER: City —officer located the vehicle and spoke to the operator. No problems were located.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Officer received a report of a vehicle accident located on CR 28. Officer reported that the operator of the vehicle had failed to maintain control of the vehicle causing it to exit the roadway and roll. Officer reported that the operator of the vehicle had left the scene. The operator was located at her residence and identified as Jessica Dennis. She was issued a citation for driving left of center, obstructing a police officer and no insurance.

REPORT OF A MISSING TRUCK: City — reporting party stated that about three years ago he parked his vehicle at a friend’s home. He stated that the friend recently died and when he went to check on his truck it was gone. Investigation continues.

JUNE 9 

REPORT OF AN INJURED DOG: City — officer received a report of a dog that had been struck by a vehicle. The dog had died due to its injuries. It was removed from the roadway.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS SUBJECTS: City — officer received a report of several juveniles acting suspicious. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

REPORT OF A BATTERY: City — reporting party stated that he had gotten into an argument with his neighbor over burning trash. During the argument one of the individuals involved was pushed to the ground. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other and the neighbor burning trash was advised to stop.

REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE: City — officer observed the dog, but it was secured to a chain. No other problems were located.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: Reporting party stated that he had been shot by a BB gun several times. The individual shooting the BB gun was identified. His parents were contacted and advised of the problem. A report will be sent to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A SHOPLIFTER: City — officer investigated the incident and reported that it was a mistake. The person had paid for the item.

JUNE 10  

REPORT OF A FRAUD: City — reporting party stated that someone had set up a fraudulent Face Book account in his name and was attempting to have his packages delivered to another address. The incident is under investigation.

REPORT OF FOUND PROPERTY: City — reporting party stated that he had located several firearms inside a vehicle and wanted them to be checked.  Officer reported that the firearms were checked and they had been reported stolen. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: City — officer contacted the occupants of the vehicle and reported that they were having mechanical problems. The vehicle was towed from the area.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Eric W. Armstrong age 46 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant for failure to appear. Armstrong was also arrested for obstructing a police officer, possession of methamphetamine and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

REPORT OF A SHOPLIFTER: City — reporting party stated that several individuals had attempted to purchase items at a local store. The clerk bagged the items and the individuals left the store with them while another person stayed to pay. The person paying for the items was unable to complete the transaction. Some of the items were returned, but one of the items had been consumed by one of the individuals involved. He was issued a citation for petit larceny.

REPORT OF POSSIBLE DRUGS AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: City — reporting party stated that an employee left her purse at work and a friend of the employee came to pick it up. The reporting party opened the purse to see if it was the employees and notices drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the purse. The purse was turned over to law enforcement. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF DOGS AT LARGE: City — officer contacted the owner of the dogs and advised him to keep them secured. He complied.

REPORT OF AN UNATTENDED CHILD: City — officer received a report of a small child walking a dog and the child had no adult supervision. The child was located near a local gas station. She and her dog were transported home. A report will be sent to DCFS.

REPORT OF VANDALISM: City — reporting party stated that several juveniles had thrown eggs at her home and car. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE: City —officer contacted the parties involved and reported that an argument had taken place over a relationship between boyfriend and girlfriend. The parties involved agreed to separate for the night.

JUNE 11  

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that his wife had stolen his medication. Officer contacted his wife who showed the deputy the medication. The medication was to be distributed to the reporting party by his wife.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: Officer contacted one of the parties involved who was not cooperative with telling law enforcement what had taken place. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — officer contacted the reporting party and stated that no theft had occurred. Officer reported that the reporting party was suffering from some sort of medical condition and was unable to maintain a clear thought.

REPORT OF AN ABANDONED VEHICLE: City — officer located the vehicle which was parked on the roadway. Due to the registration being expired the vehicle was tagged for removal.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer assisted a local business with a stand by while they terminated an employee. The ex-employee was also trespassed from all the employers’ properties.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Thomas G. Shea age 40 of Ely was arrested for ex-felon failure to register.

REPORT OF A POSSIBLE FRAUD: City — reporting party stated that someone had used his debit card without his permission to purchase several items. A report was completed and he was advised to notify his banking establishment.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Josh C. Fresquez age 31 of Ely was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that several individuals had come to his home and tried to enter. The reporting party wanted the individuals trespassed from his property. The individuals were contacted and advised.

REPORT OF A BARKING DOG: City — officer located the barking dog, but the owner was not at home. Contact will be made with the owner at a later date and advised of the complaint.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer contacted the reporting party who had a verbal argument with an individual over a moving job that she had paid for. The parties involved separated for the day.
