CARSON CITY – The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials recently announced the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of eight states selected to participate in the Healthy Brain Initiative Planning Lab.
The planning lab is designed to assist states as they develop strategies to address Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias as chronic conditions. It will provide DHHS with a forum to collaborate with other states and begin building a coordinated public health program that can integrate with existing state programs.
The Healthy Brain Initiative Planning Lab is a collaboration between the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) and the Alzheimer’s Association with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
