JULY 22

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City – the subject wasn’t located.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – the reporting party discovered someone stole his license plate.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: The reporting party gave a delayed report of being battered by her husband.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF HARASSMENT: City – the reporting party claimed to being harassed by an ex-boyfriend.  She only wanted the incident documented.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City – William Keaton, of Ely, was backing from a parked position and struck Delvin Bailey, of Nebraska.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was contacted and claimed to be fine.

REPORT OF AN ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: A male subject attempted to shoot himself.  When his spouse tried to grab the gun, it discharged, causing non-life threatening injuries.  The male was treated at the hospital.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City – the victim observed two men arguing.  When he intervened to try to get them to stop, one of them began hitting him with a beer bottle.  That male was identified as 23 year old David Dejesus, of Ely.  He was later arrested.

REPORT OF A DELAYED NON-INJURY ACCIDENT: City – Amber Cardwell, of Ely, struck a parked vehicle while driving.  She was issued a citation.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: City – trash had accumulated around a residence.  Contact to be made with the owner.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER: City – the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF INJURY TO PROPERTY: The reporting party discovered a broken window on a vacant trailer he owns.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: The reporting party received an unusual voicemail claiming to contact a child.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF THREATS: City – the reporting party claimed to have been threatened by another person.  They only wanted the incident documented.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subjects were located and were fine.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City – 31 year old Jordan Edmo, of Ely, was arrested after allegedly battering another person and breaking an occupied vehicle window with a bat.

JULY 24

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – the reporting party claimed someone stole her medication.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: The reporting party came home and found an older male subject cleaning her home.  He claimed she had asked him to do it, but the reporting party denied knowing the male.  The male left without incident.

REPORT OF FRAUD: The reporting party received a check, which, unknown to her, was fraudulent.  She deposited it, and followed the directions of the person who sent it to her.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City / the subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: No one was found on the property.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: The subject was contacted and advised to clean up the property.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY: City – the reporting party found someone had stolen property from inside her apartment.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City – the reporting party discovered someone had tried to start a fire on her property.  A report was taken.

REPORT OF A SUICIDAL SUBJECT: The subject was escorted to the hospital for evaluation.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City – the reporting party claimed to be having issues with a roommate.  Both parties separated for the night.

REPORT OF A DEATH: A subject was discovered non-responsive at his workplace.  He was later pronounced deceased.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF AN UNATTENDED DEATH: Sharon Brown passed away at her residence from natural causes.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: City – the subjects were gone when deputies arrived.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: Daniel Brody, of McGill, was backing from a parked position, when he struck Lynette Boatman, of Ely, as she was driving by.  Brody was issued a citation and a report was completed.

REPORT OF POSSIBLE CHILD ABUSE: City – the reporting party discovered marks on his child when he received him back from the child’s mother.  The mother was interviewed and denied any wrongdoing.  A sibling later related the children were horse-playing earlier.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: The subject was contacted and appeared to be fine.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City – the reporting party complained about a neighbors kids, who create a disturbance with their dirt bikes.  The neighbor was contacted.

REPORT OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT: City – Harry Franke, of Ely, was backing from a parked position and struck a utility pole.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City – the subjects were separated when deputies arrived and requested no further assistance.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: City – the reporting party discovered a naked man standing in his front yard.  When deputies arrived, they located the man at his residence nearby.  The male was identified as 45 year old Ely resident Michael Carlgren.  He was arrested for indecent exposure and trespassing.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: The parties had been arguing over child custody and were separated when deputies arrived.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City – the reporting party claimed her boyfriend battered her.  He was gone when deputies arrived and they were unable to locate him.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A RUNAWAY JUVENILE: City – the reporting party claimed her daughter ran away.  She was entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK: City – the subject was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: The reporting party was battered by a person with whom he was in an intimate relationship.  The suspect, identified as 34 year old Ely resident Maximino Gallardo-Montes, was arrested for domestic battery.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: City – the subject claimed to be looking for a friend.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: The reporting party believed her ex was going to cause problems when he came to get his property.  Both parties were advised to handle the incident civilly.

REPORT OF A HIT AND RUN: City – the reporting party discovered an unknown person struck his vehicle sometime during the night.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A SEX CRIME: City – the reporting party believes an adult was sexting with a minor.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – the reporting party claimed someone stole his motorcycle.  The investigation continues.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City – a female subject took items from a store without paying for them.  Deputies located where she lived, but were unable to make contact with her.  Follow-up to continue.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: The reporting party claimed to be having issues with a family member who was intoxicated.  Both parties separated for the night.
