AUGUST 6

REPORT OF AN ALARM: City — false alarm.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that someone had placed several unwanted items in front of her door to her apartment. Officer located several juveniles who placed the items there. Their parents were contacted and advised of the problem.

REPORT OF A THEFT: City — reporting party stated that someone had stolen the license plate off his trailer. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF AN ATV DISTURBANCE: City — the area was patrolled, but the ATV’S were not located.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: City — officer received a report of a public nuisance at a local residence. Officer reported that no one is living in the home where the problem is located. Officer is attempting to locate the responsible party for the home.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT: City — Jessica Mellos of McGill was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a vehicle that was parked behind her belonging to Pat Stork of Ely. Mellos vehicle struck Storks vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF POSSIBLE ABUSE: City — reporting party stated that an individual who had been cared for in a care facility had not received the medical attention needed. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF DOGS AT LARGE: The dogs were captured and taken to the Ely Dog Pound.

REPORT OF A SEXUAL ASSAULT: City — reporting party stated that she had been sexually assaulted. Investigation into the incident continues.

REPORT OF A FOUND BICYCLE: City — the bicycle was collected and placed into lost and found.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Officer located the vehicle and reported that no problems were observed.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that several juveniles were riding their bicycles in and out of traffic. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

REPORT OF AN ATV PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that several juveniles were riding their ATV’S in the alleyway. Officer located the juveniles and advised them stop riding in the area.

REPORT OF A TRESPASSER: City — reporting party stated that he wanted his ex-girlfriend trespassed from his property. The ex-girlfriend was contacted and advised.

REPORT OF A FOUND ITEM: City — reporting party located a book that had been lost by an individual. The book was placed into lost and found.

REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: City — the area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A PARKING PROBLEM: Reporting party stated that someone had parked a vehicle on her property. The reporting party was advised she could have the vehicle removed.

AUGUST 9

REPORT OF A FIGHT: City — officer received a report of a fight that was taking place at a local bar. When officers arrived no fight was located.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — Officer reported that Joseph E.  Creaghe age 33 of Ely was arrested for trespassing. Creaghe had entered back into a business after he had been trespassed from the establishment.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Michaela Murphy age 25 of Reno was arrested on a probation violation. Officer assisted Parole and Probation by making the arrest.

REPORT OF PROPERTY DAMAGE: Reporting party stated that someone had damaged several sprinklers at the McGill Park. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted the parties involved and reported that during their investigation Christine Hally age 43 of Ely was arrested for domestic battery.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: Reporting party stated that he had an argument with a subject several months ago over a trailer. The reporting party stated that he recently overheard the individual make a threat towards him. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Richard A. Hankins age 57 of McGill was arrested on an US District Court warrant.

REPORT OF AN SUSPICIOUS NOTE: reporting party stated that she located a note on her car. The note blamed her for crashing into another vehicle. The reporting party denied causing an accident. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM: City — reporting party stated that she had gotten into an argument with her son while they were traveling through the Ely area. She stated that her son jumped out of their vehicle and ran off. The individual was located and returned to his mother.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A VEHICLE: Reporting party stated that she observed a vehicle dragging an item down the roadway. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF AN ATV DISTURBANCE: City — the area was patrolled, but the ATV was not located.

REPORT OF AN ABANDONED VEHICLE: City — officer located the vehicle and it was tagged for removal.

REPORT OF AN OPEN DOOR: City — officer received a report of an open door on a vacant home. Officer located a person inside the home who was hired to clean it.

REPORT OF A LOST CHILD: The child was returned to his parent.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE: City — during the officers investigation Stefan P. Hoffman age 33 of Baker was arrested for obstructing a police officer and disturbing the peace.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted several individuals who were listening to music. They were advised to keep the peace.

REPORT OF A BARKING DOG: City — the area was patrolled, but the dog was not located.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer reported that during his investigation a juvenile was detained for battering a family member. The juvenile was transported to the Elko Detention Center.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted several individuals who were playing music. They were advised to keep the peace.

REPORT OF AN ATV DISTURBANCE: City — officer located a juvenile riding an ATV on the roadway. The juvenile was issued a citation and his parents were contacted.

REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE: The dog was captured and taken to the Ely Dog Pound.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over a fence that had been damaged. The incident was documented and the parties involved were advised to stay away from each other.

REPORT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE: City — officer contacted the owner of the property and advised him to clean up the debris.

REPORT OF A DOG PROBLEM: City — officer received a report of a dog being left inside a vehicle. Officer located the dog and reported that the windows on the vehicle were down. The owner arrived and removed the dog from the vehicle.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Efrem D. Crozier age 49 of Ely was arrested for driving suspended, revoked registration and no insurance.

REPORT OF THEFT: City — reporting party stated that an individual had stolen some dirt from a local job site. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted the parties involved and during his investigation arrested Brent Stephenson age 45 of West Valley, UT Stephenson was arrested for domestic battery. He is accused of battering his girlfriend.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE: City — officer contacted an intoxicated person who was causing the disturbance. He was advised to go back into his home and remain there. He complied.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT/ ARREST: Officer received a report of a vehicle accident located on Cave Valley Road. Officer reported that during his investigation James P. Rainey age 50 of Ely was arrested for due care, DUI, and open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

REPORT OF A BARKING DOG: City — officer located the dog, but the owner of the dog was not at home. Contact with the owner will be made a t a later date.

REPORT OF A PARKING PROBLEM: The area was patrolled and the vehicle causing the problem had left the area.

REPORT OF A DOG AT LARGE: City — the dog was captured and taken to the Ely Dog Pound.

REPORT OF AN ARREST: City — officer reported that Adele S. Mohammednur age 38 of Ely was arrested for DUI.

REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT: City — reporting party stated that an individual had come to her home and had made threats towards her and her family. The individual had left the area before officers arrived. The reporting party was advised to obtain a protective order.

REPORT OF A FRAUD: City — reporting party stated that he had lost his debit card and someone had been using it without his permission. He was advised to cancel his card. Investigation into the complaint continues.

REPORT OF A MOTORCYCLE DISTURBANCE: City — officer patrolled the area, but the motorcycles were not located.
