
Toni Lynne O’Flaherty passed away peacefully January 4, 2026. She was born December 3, 1946, in Caliente, Nevada, and grew up in Ely, Nevada, where she graduated from high school.
In November 1965, Toni married her high school love, Robert “Bob” O’Flaherty, in Las Vegas. There, they began their family, and Toni worked for the Las Vegas Convention Center, where she took great pride in welcoming visitors to Nevada and formed many lasting friendships.
In 1976, Toni and Bob moved to Reno, Nevada, where they lived for nearly twenty years while raising their two sons. During her time in Reno, Toni graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1993, with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Later, the family settled in Northern California, where Toni worked in Human Resources and Payroll at CJS Lighting. She was respected for her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. As her husband Bob lovingly said, “She was a rock, holding us all together.” She lived each day guided by strong values, compassion, and devotion to her family.
Toni will be remembered for her kindness, steady presence, and beautiful smile. Family was always at the center of her life, and she took immense pride in her role as wife, mother, and grandmother.
Toni is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” O’Flaherty; her sons: Robert O’Flaherty and Patrick O’Flaherty; daughters-in-law: Amy O’Flaherty and Margie O’Flaherty; and her beloved granddaughters: Molly, Kelly, Maggie, Ellie, and Sadie; and her brother, Jeffrey Gottfredson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Faye Gottfredson; and her brother, Jamie Gottfredson.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Calvar Cemetery and Funeral Center, 7100 Verner Avenue, Citrus Heights, California. A viewing will be held at noon, followed by the service at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
